I have my crouch set so that I have to hold down left-ctrl to stay crouched instead of the default crouch toggle. When I am playing engineer and start repairing something while crouched my player stands up, and pressing the crouch key to go back into a crouch has no effect. I had assumed this was by design, however yesterday I noticed another engineer who was assisting me that was able to begin repairing and then crouch once we started being fired on, yet nothing would happen when I pressed my crouch key. Is this a bug related to the fact that I have the crouch toggle off?

I left my key binding for crouch as the default, and have no issue crouching while repairing. You could play around a bit. Try setting it back to C but leaving it on toggle off, or try it on CTRL and leave toggle on and see if either of those work. That would narrow it down to being either the key or toggle.

Ok thanks I’ll try using the toggle again and will report back to confirm if that fixes it for me.
