ok, im instaling the game everything looks wonderfull and then it comes to steam part and i get this message:
“sorry, but the following items are not available for purcharse in this country. Your purchase has been cancelled.”
everyone who’s idling on irc and is from poland has this problem, please fix it sd.
It might just not be available in Poland just yet. I’m not sure if there are any other Poland users on these forums, as this is the first time I’ve seen this problem. If the release date is up and it should be out, you might be able to contact Steam customer support (is there such a thing?) to find out why.
The game IS available in Poland, it unlocked on steam at 2:00am CET just like for the rest of the Europe. I CAN buy the game directly through steam, but whenever I try to activate the key I got with my retail copy of the game I get the same message ‘sorry, but the following items are not available for purchase in this country’.
It’s not just Poland that is affected, plenty of other eastern european countries have the same problem.
At least its not as bad as in Great Britain where Brink has been taken off the steam store completly for an unknown reason or in Russia where Brink became restriced and unplayable shortly after the release.
[edit] Oh and if the problem isnt fixed by the end of the weekend I’m taking the game back to the store. I really dont like to be cheated on.

Is this affecting play in the UK, or is it just the store that’s playing up? I’m just 3 hours from sinking my teeth into Brink, and I’m hoping the feast won’t be delayed!
In what context or Bethesda working to fix this, I would imagine this would be a steam issue not publishing - the game has been made available to those that pre-ordered that game after all.
Call me a cynic but I feel there could be an interesting story lurking underneath this issue.

about 2 and a half hours until I can test it but I heard about this issue and started to worry D:!
This is god damn epic fail. I paid for a game, I want to play, and I can’t because of stupid steam.
I heard that this problem show up yesterday, and still no fix? joke…
Use a VPN such as IP shield it can be downloaded from places like download.com and set your steam address to somewhere like the uk or north america. Close steam, connect to IP shield then re run up steam and the game will work, although only temporary this will work, I have tried it.

Be glad it got rejected. Cancel your order and go buy something else. Otherwise you will be joining the choruse of “I told you so” after your are stuck with damaged goods.
