Cannot launch due to OpenGL issues.

Hello there, I’m here because I have an issue with OpenGL, and the game refuses to launch.

When I launch, I get this:

I know that my graphic card does not support OpenGL 3.1, I’ve came that far. And I have browsed around tons of forums and websites trying to see if there are any drivers what so ever that can make it support OpenGL 3.1. WIthout suceeding.

I also saw somewhere here that you can make the graphic card “think” it has OpenGL 3.1, but I am no computer master so I really post here for help.

I use Intel® HD Graphics video card, and I am aware that it only supports 2.1, but I am extremely short of money and I cannot just buy some new card or computer.

The computer I use is a HP ProBook 6450 b, and I really need help with this. I really want to play this game, and I cannot buy a new computer within the next 3 years, that is for sure. So if anyone has ANY advice I can do to at least try to fix this, would be incredibly appreciated. Because I have been dying to play this game with no succes what so ever.

I would like if there was no posts about “Buy new comp” or “You’re screwed, put the game on the schelf”. Because I really need help and I do not really want anything but that. Thanks for reading.

Your onboard graphics will never work for this game, there is nothing you can do to solve this, outside of new equipment.

I have ATI Radeon HD6970 card and the latesd driver is installed! Previously, running the game, but now is not working!

GL_VENDOR: Microsoft Corporation
GL_RENDERER: GDI Generic
GL_VERSION: 1.1.0

according to this, you have no drivers installed at all (outside generic vga)

try install initial ATI drivers through windows update, then upgrade from ATI to latest

(Rotic) #5

I uninstalled the all ATI driver and other stuff until I got generic vga. I installed the ATI drivers and now it works fine.

Thx for your help!

The OpenGL error is down to your system not currently meeting the minimum system requirements. I’ve put up a sticky regarding this error. Closing this thread.
