Cannot Install the game

Hi, when I try to download the game via steam client or its store page, it doesnt launch the donwload.
I’m in France and i dont have error messages.
I got this message :

I already tried to check for steam updates and it changes nothing, my client is up-to date

Have you already tried restarting steam and your PC? Updates sometimes won’t apply until a restart.

Hi, yeah i tried both restarting, updatting Steam …and still not works. i’m on windows 8.1

Hi there.

I found these steps online and they’ve worked for numerous people with your problem.

Here are some steps to help troubleshoot your issue.

If you are running Steam on a PC:

Please exit Steam and go to the folder called C:\Program Files\Steam\ (this is the default location for a Steam installation - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it).

Delete all of the files in this folder except:

The \Steamapps\ folder and Steam.exe (this file is listed as an application and features the black and white Steam logo)

Restart your computer.

Then, launch Steam.exe from within the Steam installation folder, and not from a pre-existing shortcut.

With Steam running, re-test the original issue.

Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games.

If the issue persists, make sure your network is optimized for Steam.

I tried deleting clientregestry already, but deleteing all files on Steam not yet, thanks i’m testing it right now.

Result : It doesnt work :frowning:

It works for other games on Steam client…

Try running Steam in Administrator mode maybe?

I already tried this one before.
I now get the steam client on Steam Update beta to see if it works and it doesnt…I start feeling that the client is buggy , but the weird thing is that it doenst work only for this game. I tried several other ones to install and i had zero troubles…I tried without antivirus maybe it’s blocking the installation as i saw some people saying that a file was recognized as a spyware but it changed nothing…
Dunno what the hell is happenning :neutral:

Hello sympatheticMonitor,
I had same issue and the thing that helped me is to remove the checkbox from the
compatibility mode (from all users)
