Hi,
theres a news on the homepage of The Price of Peace titled:
The Price of Peace Expands its Campaign Structure
Tonight, the Rapidfire Entertainment (RFE) team would like to announce that The Price of Peace (PoP) will be expanding significantly in scope to include at least two (2) full Multiplayer Campaigns, with a third tentatively planned. Having long planned a Campaign called Blood in the Sand: The Road to St. Lô, RFE felt that this campaign was too small in scope, too limited in perspective, and that we could do very well with another Campaign. Research was conducted and the subject of a Canadian Campaign was proposed.
Shortly after deciding this, RFE contacted the Whatever Men Dare (WMD) mod for Call of Duty, a Canadian-themed World War 2 mod. The intention was to initiate an idea-, information-, and resource-sharing relationship with WMD. RFE was promptly offered the services and finished research and work of the leader of WMD, [MC]Disgruntled Goat. With this addition, the new idea entered planning stages, and we now proudly introduce Whatever Men Dare: For the King, our new Canadian Campaign.
In Whatever Men Dare: For the King, we will highlight the movements and actions of the North Shore Regiment, 8th Infantry Brigade, a Canadian unit in World War 2, and how they fought their way through Normandy (Normandie) in 1944. Maps planned for this new Campaign will be:
[ul]
[li]Juno Beach, Nan Red, Ste. Aubin sector
[/li]> [li]The Bocage, Carpiquet
[/li]> [li]The Abbey D’Ardenne, Northwest of Caen
[/li]> [li]Caen
[/li]> [li]Verriere Ridge, Fontenay de Marmion
[/li]> [li]Falaise
[/li]> [/ul]
Specifics on the content of each map to follow, and the Campaign page on our site (pop.rtcwfiles.com) will have new outlines for these maps, and others, shortly (public Campaign information is currently under construction). To tide everyone over, we have constructed a number of renders of Canadian weapons and equipment planned for the new campaign, as well as some other new items (go and see on our Images page).
As far as I’ve understood this and some of the postings in the forums the mod team of Whatever Men Dare joined The Price of Peace team.
