Canada is very safe in most regards, there is a bad element about in some places but quite a nice place overall

between 11 and 12 million people watched that concert played uninterrupted with no commercials and preempted prime time Olympic coverage for 3 hours to honour a man who has dedicated his life to Canada, especially the Northern First Nations.

btw I have family in Toronto. For me personaly, I prefer Toronto over NY. More green. Much more and tons of european feelings.
