Can you tell the difference between normal and improved weapon buff?

Is there a way to know whether you’ve received a normal or improved weapon buff? Is there an icon in the HUD somewhere that I haven’t noticed? Does the weapon glow differently in any way?

I’m so used to playing Engineer that I often buff my damage or buff other peoples damage so I’m not 100% sure if you receive a notification of the amount added to damage on your screen.

The glow seems to look the same as far as I can see. Actually would personally prefer it if there was an option to tone down the glow as it ruins the weapon textures and imo makes the weapons look silly. Would be nice if there was an option to replace the glow with a faint red outline or something more low-key.

Funny you should say that, because I hardly notice it. It’s only sometimes when I’ve stopped to reload somewhere and I actually focus on my weapon…

You should get some kind of notification like “Level 2 Damage Buff Received” or something along those lines.
