ok i understand, all player have not a SSD and I7 inside there PC, so they need time to load the game.
can we skip all the cinematic at the begining of battle ?
I wish in pubs the game just started once 4 players on both teams are done loading all the textures. After that it could add the other players in pairs once 1 more is ready on each side. So the potatoes would miss 1 spawn wave (or more if their machine is awfully slow) but everyone else could get into the game faster.
Thats already how it works… lol
But eventually the game needs to start. So the 15 second starting cinematic allows any late joiners to at least have a chance to load everything as the match is going live.
That’s what I’m saying. When the game starts, instead of a 15 second cinematic, we instead just continue running around killing each other with no cinematic. At the end of that 15 seconds, it respawns everyone at spawn.
The 15 seconds is fine, people have different computer specifications, pings, hdd/ssd, etc., but hearing the instructions every time a match starts does get a tad redundant and annoying. It should definitely be there for min level 5 servers, no question about that.
An "option"to see something else while that loads or a quick minigame, like a bubble popper game that ends when everyone loads in would make a world of a difference. By bubble popper, imagine the screen says pop all the Skyhammers before time runs out, you get a point for each Skyhammer bubble you click on. At the end it records your reaction time/accuracy, and maybe gives you very little credit points based on how many skyhammers were popped.
I suggested something similar a while back to mitigate the problems with queue times for comp matches, and hope this helps give the devs some idea as to how to solve these issues or grievances.
