Like, maybe try running a controlled test version of the game, with NGS disabled or fucking whatever, to first see if that’s the thing causing this BULLSHIT, because this started happening right after NGS was implemented.
If it’s NGS, just fucking flip it off, and we can stop pretending that it ever did any good.
Or you can continue to ignore it, whatever, just a SUGGESTION.
Can we get rid of the freezes, ok
Well what’s your ping? What’s the Ping of the guy who warped? What’s your hardware? Processes running?
How about assuming this happens to everyone instead you do something useful and make a bug report on the support website?

60ish, dunno about the other guy.
It’s not hardware. I’ve played with an i5 3570K and I’m currently using i7 6700K, and it happens with both.
Others have reported these same issues on the forums, and this has happened on the freaking dev stream too, while exedore was on, so they should be well aware of it.

Well normally 60 is fine but I’ve seen so much guys teleporting around with 60. Try 10-30.
Edit: I just had a guy in my game with a ping of 40. He warped around like mad. You couldn’t hit him, and he didn’t hit anyone either. So you can lag like crap even with a decent ping.
It turns out that “fixing the bug that happened that one time” is actually pretty difficult. It isn’t a matter of going into the code, searching for “freezing=true” and changing that line to “freezing=false”. Issues that only show up on certain setups or rare occasions are incredibly difficult to debug, and once you have a fix, it is hard to tell if the fix was actually successful. I’m sure they know about the problem, but without solid information to go on, they could spend a week (or more) trying to fix it and get nowhere.
It’s server related. What region do you play OP? I know of a program that will force NGS to kick me. As for the freezing, it happened once in the last week for me and I noticed it happening as I was joining a server. The spawn menu froze and my friend in the game that I was joining said it froze for him as well. Everything points to the servers, that and frequent disconnects. Me and a friend had 2 in a row last night and all in all terrible lag spikes as well. Proxy’s rubberbanding with a 30 ping and vasilis shooting you through walls is all indicating that the servers are well and truly in need of some TLC.
I just want to point out that this happens to me exactly the same! my game freezes for a few seconds and then returns to normal … The problem is when it happens in the middle of a fight …
I tried reinstalling Dirty Bomb but still freezing my information is:
CPU AMD Phenom II 3.4GHz
GPU AMD 6870
RAM DDR3 1600 8GB
All water cooled
all the game settings to Medium for map and everything off with one frame interval only enabled Windows 10 64Bits And only running the game nothing in backgroun like anti-virus, steam overlay desable… And Ping 50-60ms… I do not know what do about this problem
@Eduardo
Like I said in my post above, it’s a server issue. Whether it also effects the client is something I’m not sure about, most client side related issues usually are brought on by NGS freezing, crashing or kicking you. It will also kick you if NGS crashes because the game will not run without it so the freezes might also be linked to NGS but I personally haven’t seen any official reason yet, maybe there has been and I’ve missed it, any help with this one @Faraleth?
You guys are not gonna believe, but I reinstalled my rig, bought a new hard drive, cos I thought its dying…
I haven’t noticed any freezes nor warping in general, but yesterday there was a guy who warped always when I was having 1 on 1 with him. I had no issues with any other player. This happened with multiple maps. I checked ping for this guy and my self and there were no issues with that.
Mmm I just want to point out a behavior that I noticed lately, first, the original behavior of freezing is occurring at any time at random and are a sharp drop in frames per second, no change in the connection (no Ping spikes , or other misbehavior internet) which indicates a high probability that it is my PC And not the internet or server. however lately note the following, having all the video settings to LOW and everything else off, the times my game freezes was a lot more and more serious! still having a 60ms ping … when I read that the Unreal Engine was highly dependent on CPU and at lower video settings the UE increase in CPU I tried a change the settings, in LOW I get 115+ fps but with severe freezes, when I put the settings on MIDIUM I get 90-100 fps and freezing were significantly reduced! So my guess is thant UE and Dirty Bomb are bad optimized for CPU than when you move the work from the gpu to cpu the freezen occurs, is rare but that is what a see
For some reason I have the most hours with Vassili and a Vassili player’s worst nightmare is freezes, especially WHEN YOU HAVE A 3 HEADSHOT COLLATE LINE-UP!!! freezes misses shot FUCK.
Its really just crappy servers, thats all. If people warp around with 40-60 ping, it isn’t the connection that’s delaying the calculations, it’s the only thing that’s left - the server. Apart from that it’s usually not a direct problem with Hardware, more with Drivers & Software. Plus UE is pretty CPU-heavy, for graphical engines that is.
I personally never had any problems with freezes or lags (other people warped around, but only when they were at >300 ping) and I’m playing this game for more than 350 hours now. It worked like a blast on my 4810MQ, 765 GTX setup (laptop, lel) and works fine now with the Xeon 1231v3 & R9 390. Even after the Laptop had some serious heat issues and sometimes had to turn down the CPU while playing, it still worked fine.
I don’t freeze, I just get lag spikes, which last around 3 seconds and my frames dip below 60 for a bit. It’s still totally playable.
And warping occurs when a player drops packets with the server. Meaning information gets lost along the way, probably due to bad connection. High ping just means delay, if you have high ping and no packet loss then you will just be delayed, and there will be no warping.
