Can we get a kick player option in Ranked please?

I had like 3 ranked games ruined by trolls the past two days. First game, a troll was taking the detonator and running back to the very first attacker spawn and hiding with it so we couldn’t deliver it. Eventually we went to the spawn and a player TKed him to take the detonator, but he kept doing it again. He would even pick it up after a player would drop it by delivery point when attacked by enemies and run off with it again. We couldn’t kick him because you cant start a kick vote in Ranked and he wasn’t teamkilling us. Our team ended up losing because we couldn’t control the detonator.

Second troll (different guy) was jumping in front of the EV when I was on defense. Each time an airstrike killed him he would punish and got our Arty kicked! We ended up losing the match as it became 4v5 and again we couldn’t kick him and the game was ruined. We should add a feature to the game where tking by arty/skyhammer on EV map is not punishable so that guys like him can’t get defenders kicked.

Third troll, again different guy from first two, kept connecting/disconnecting from the game and then fidgeting in the spawn and not doing anything to help the team but wouldn’t get kicked because he wasn’t AFK. He would stand around shooting the ceiling and when we told him to play he would scream into the microphone and curse us out and go back to doing nothing in spawn.

That’s 3 ranked games ruined. I don’t care about getting deranked, but it takes so long to find a ranked game sometimes that its really a pain when u get into one and get trolled like this. So can you guys please add a kick vote feature into Ranked?

While I agreed, based on the experiences you describe only, adding a vote kick could also be used to get rid of people legitimately playing, just not to someone else’s “standards” or because they want to troll, especially if queued with friends that will guarantee a vote passing. It would probably be safer to just record the person ruining the match and reporting them to get them banned.

How do u record a player and where do u post recording? I remember some of their names but the board says u cant say people names in case accusation is false

I mean reporting them in-game. I don’t know how detailed their logs might be or if they have some recording of the plays stored for a while so they can check the gameplay themselves.

The alternative is recording a short clip of what they were doing with FRAPS or Shadowplay, uploading to an YouTube channel with the player’s name in the title, linking the channel in the report so the video can be found by the name and checked after you have it uploaded, something like that.

Ooo, I’m not technically savvy enough for the alternative lol. I tried the report function but it doesn’t list trolling only offensive name or cheating. I guess ill start reporting as cheating? I don’t want to get in trouble for false reporting either because these guys aren’t cheating just trolling

Rarely if ever would this lead to any kind of repercussions.

My fix is to just… not play Ranked :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think you’d get in trouble for that, and if you would, I’d expect them to instead just tell him how they’d rather you reported them instead.

Well, that just makes Ranked, which they supposedly want to better and promote, even less desirable. I’d have expected reports of people just ruining games to have some effect, but I have no experience in how effective they are.

I haven’t touched Ranked myself. While I’d like the Aura card and the keychain thing, I haven’t felt like it’s worth the long waits, the extra stress, and the tiny returns per match. And now there are trolls too.

There are many threads complaining about the ineffectiveness of the report button and calls for some kind of tiered banning for bad behavior.

I don’t get why the removed the vote kick option in ranked? I never saw it abused, but it was useful for kicking hackers/trolls. I’m not seeing any reason for anyone to abuse it anyways. Really wish it was back because I have lost a few games due to team killers and the like.
