In reference to Coneseer’s thread, can we at least get 3’s added to solo and duo queue? It’s frustrating if you only have 3 online that someone has to sit out, and I think it would help the long queue times.
I do understand why 3’s and 4’s were removed the first time around, but the player base is smaller now and if we can’t broaden the skill gap to make matches easier to find, I think adding 3’s might at least help a little bit.
Hopefully, they will add lobbies of 3 and 4. Ranked shares funcionalities with CMM where theoratically a lobby of 6 can meet 6 solo players. So why not make this happening for ranked?
Originally it was decided that pre-made 5 man teams were too strong against 5 man solo teams, which is why they removed it. But I am fairly certain adding trio’s into solo and duo wouldn’t be a total game changer.
I believe the easiest way to create a mixture of balance, a fun and/or competitive experience, and shortened queue times, is two separate the queue types into two pools, them being;
Solo removes the factor of having two insanely skilled players predetermined to be on the same team, which has the potential to be game changing. Having 10 individual players, the system can balance the match to an optimal level
The rest of the players are left to play with each other. Players that are grouped together with a friend(s) are more likely to use communication, and would hopefully communicate with the other groups as well.
Maybe we can have an option somewhere in the ranked menus to find a group of other players whom are looking to make a 5man team, I know h1z1 has an option where you can be placed in queue and it will put you in a 5 man team randomly. it might not be the best option for dirty bomb, but it may cut queue timers down a bit.
Im disagreeing with this one as it will probabily turn into a 3and2 people team vs a random team of 5 most of the times which will be very unforgiving for people queueing alone, still i like the idea of separating solo man queue to 2 and 3
Anything as long as i actually get to play the damn game. I’m tired of waiting for a match, i’d play against fucking 5man teams if i have to.
Why can’t we have 5 mans against solo que though? For instance:
Let’s say you have a 5 man team made up of all mid to high silver ranks. Try to pair them first with another 5 man team in their rank, but if no matches are found, open it up to any mix except for 5 man teams in a rank or two above them? In this instance our 5 man mid to high silver would play against 5 solo que players from bottom to low mid gold rank.
This wouldn’t always work out well I’ll admit, but it might help everyone find games more often in more ranks.

At least show me first who we’ll be up against and who will I be teamed with. That way, I can agree to play or not to play with the lot.
