Can they do that?

I would never use a sig like that, even mal-intentioned advertising is still advertising.
Don’t take that badly. :stuck_out_tongue: It’s just my opinion.

I dont see why they should release it before BF2142. If we’re talking about larger products such as cars or computer processors etc then yeah, but as for computer games, meh, buy boh of them tbh. I would have thought much of the BF2 and ET community KNOW which game will come out on top.

Stay with the “done when it’s done” mentality tbh. Otherwise we’ll have BF2 Mk2

Regardless of what stage they are in SD & ID should try to release before BF’s 2142 release date, or not to far after BF’s 2142 release. I’d suggest before.

I find that comment funny considering your sig.

How so ? SD is not EA they arent going to rush a game to the market before its done just to get money. The only reason why I suggest they do it before BF’s release is because people are extremely impatient and they might just go for the new BF instead of QW if its released to long after BF. Now that I think about it, maybe its better if they release after, only because all those peopel who buy BF instead of QW are the peopel we dont want joining the QW community.

PS: Dont’ get confused by my sig. I hate EA and I hate BF2 just as much. The game was fun for two month with all its bugs and flaws. I had to quit 3 months after its release because I knew EA wasnt going to fix anything that they should have. I’m not talkinga bout personal greivances, but actually flaws in desigins, glitches and bugs that destroyed the game. IE. THe browswer.

My comment was more about the fact that you wish they rush (instead of just releasing when ready) the release of ET:QW so they beat the release of BF2142. Meaning the game will be full of bugs, flaws and glitches just as BF2 was, in combination with your sig, I found that funny.

I think no matter what EA will try to get 2142 out before QW, because they know most people will just jump on the first game out. And from my experience, I’m suprised BF2142 isnt already released yet, they obviously dont care about bugs or glitches when the game is first out, when BF2 was released it could have been in Beta stage still, if not Alpha there were so many problems with it.

Yes, in a prior post i said, be quick or be dead

This era is the era of mega giant machines.

The first game which exits to sell will be the first to get people, and with precedents, i think that a lot of people come into ETQW, because quality, stability, performance and all other things you know.

Good look!

Actually, I’m wondering:

A lot of guys are fed up with the BF series. But not so much of those who arrive here seem to have tried W:ET. Given that ET:QW’s gameplay will be similar to W:ET, will they actually like it?
I know that I’ll enjoy it as the ET concept works, and will hapilly help my team to push forward to the end objective. However, most BF players are not used to play as a team attacking in one wave and sometimes like the fact that they’re playing in a large sandbox “full” of capture points . Given that they can still mess around, would they be bothered from having to attack the same point over again till it “falls”?

Anyway, I’ll most likely love the game. I’m just considering how the BF crowd could react. And if they want, they could mod ET:QW to their likings.

^^ I’ll admit it I’ve never played W:ET. I tried to the other day and coudlnt even figure out how to spawn. LOL It was qutie amusing after reading the dev post about the accessiblity of the game. I will play it this weekend though, the dev said its the best way to hone up your skills for the upcoming QW. And I look forward to playing something that is teambased gameplay.

PS: I never want them to rush anything. Just saying it would be a good marketing move to try to get out before BF2 does, but if they have to rush to accomplish this screw it.

It’s a very interesting moment now, and I think the developers and ATVI have a good chance.

The people has to learn to play ETQW, I think, being a commercial game now, opposite to ET, It will have a good tutorial (individual gameplay) as Quake 4 or Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

RTCW was the game I learnt to love 3D Games, I think is a new and good chance to ‘recruit’ new gamers.
The web page www.enemyterritory.com has to host a good and attractive mini-guide for those who are thinking to buy game, to teach them, opposite to be full of ads or want-to-sell-more, as i have seen that is the way the page is going on. :rocker2:

Its was a good idea to create a great initial place to the game, with all the neccesary information about game, gameplay, and essential information to get new users join game, sell game is not a SD task and it seems perfect to me. :notworthy:

I’d like to learn to play (playing since RTCW  it’s a suposition… for new possible players) ETQW without to have to buy the game, to be attracted to play game including demo version, and then to buy game.

A good colored (pics) mini-game guide will be well received, and we all days see official page looking for the way to learn to play BEFORE the game or demo ships.

Great shot SD !
