As many of you know that, or some, SD was bought by a Chinese chicken company a few months ago, but what’s next ? I haven’t heard a news since then.
I feel nothing really changed. You know, slow progress, bugs, lies. Uh…now servers too ?
Can someone tell me what's up with the Chinese Chicken Company

Like…early November? I am pretty sure they did say that, and telling us update time will be different isn’t going to deny the fact that it’s a lie.
And maybe “Summer Squash” ? Although some people think it’s just a joke, but I think it still says “Summer”, and I believe some people take that and hoping to have some changes during the “summer time”, not fall. If u really want me to list another one.
Guess many talked about how “summer” this word lie to us a while ago ? When someone said something or post something to the public, and he/she/they did not make it as what they said, that’s a lie.
Lies bring disappointment, disappointment brings a lot of other things. Yes, there are some people can just accept it, but not everyone, especially when it’s not the first time.

How is stating “early November” as a goal a Lie? Should they have been that specific. I would not have been myself since I know some people are very nit picky with wording. I do not, however, see how that can be a lie.
I do not know of any evidence suggesting SD intentionally was postponing anything before they made that statement. Then it would have been an intentionally deception to me.
To me it looks like they wanted to share their plans with the community as part of the open communication a lot of people requested. Unfortunately I think they forgot a lot of people are to the letter on certain things. I hope they learn to avoid that in the future.
The same goes for the “Summer Squash”. I do not know of any evidence suggesting SD planned on finishing the addressing of bug during the time period know as “Summer”. Since I know of no evidence suggesting such a thing I do not see how them not completing the addressing of bugs during the time frame makes the phrase “Summer Squash” a lie.
I belief they wanted to be cute and tried to have fun with something that is not so much. Again though I believe they forgot that some people take wording very seriously.
I don’t think what we have here is so much lying. What we have here is disappointment from reality not living up to the hype.

If you want to forget about what they and see what they do that is your choice.
I know however unless their is specific evidence of deceit or an intentionally broken contract. I do not see any evidence of “Lying” only speculation brought about probably from despair which is typical from really any of us.
I also know Splash Damage may not always choose the best wording. I do believe they mean well though and are trying to do the best they can with what they have available at every given time just like any one else does.

@The_N00B Well, if you can’t make something in the time, don’t tell people you’ll do it in that time. I mean, SD was pretty good at saying “Soon” or “When it’s done” in the past. WHich is okay. Because people don’t expect something, and get disappointed.

I’ve taken a break so long from this game that a chicken company bought this game? I guess that explains the chicken logo with the sunglasses. It may also explain the inordinate amount of lead cards I’ve received.
Ya bad tainted Chinese meat with lead joke, I know, I Know, and I shall just walk myself out, in shame and disgrace, goodbye :(.

@Jostabeere Did SD ever say specifically that they are going to address a lot of bugs in the Specific time frame of summer? Did SD ever say specifically that are addressing these bugs between two specific dates? I personally know of no evidence which shows this.
This to mean to me that many players assumed as such without actually listening to what SD said. This to me is understandable though. Many people do care about this game and are frustrated by many things involving it.
Do I think SD needs to watch their wording better… YES… unfortunately…
Players want more open communication but appear to not be ready for the relationship. The best relationships between people involve communication, trust, respect, and adaptability to name a few things. A lot of player can not do those aspects due to their various personal reasons I am sure. Unfortunately I think our community suffers because of it.
Now…
I believe Nail was commenting on how this business deal has not been finalized yet. This would mean it is still up in the air on whether or not the ownership of SD will change. Please correct me if I am wrong Nail.

Game is going downhill, servers got (even) worse (haven’t been able to play with less than 40 ping on eu servers and no it isn’t my internet), fps drops are insane, I can’t look from left to right without dropping 40 fps.
Weapon balance is still absolutely terrible and only rewards people for using easy spam weapons and now even Fragger and Stoker are broken.

the server issue could be based on something out of Nexon’s control involving the ISP or something else.
i am sure addressing the Fragger and Stoker issues are on Splash Damages to do list. Broken mercs are not helpful. We just need to give them time. same type of thing with weapon balance.

That is the exact reason why SD cant be transparent about things all the time because in the games industry nothing can be set in stone. new code breaks old code , priorities get changed, QA testing and then the thing they promised gets pushed back.
if they told us all thats in development then we would be constantly disappointed
