Can someone put out some info like this?
Cool video!

Due to our player speeds and health all of out bullet-based weapons are hit-scan, meaning that they instantly hit the target at any range and players don’t need to account for travel time or drop-off.

We don’t have bullet penetration and ricochets as we want to reward skill and discourage spam/luck, we also want players who think they’re in cover to actually be in cover. We are looking at having certain weapons (sniper rifles) penetrating players for the odd double-kill but not going through geometry.

We will be having per-weapon stats displayed in the menus at some point, we’re still working towards that. When everything is in place we can probably release a video detailing the behaviour of the different weapon types :)
Can’t +1 but this is good info. I like the idea of 2 for 1’s.

Actually the bullets in Extraction do only penetrate 3 glass panes, and not the 4. If I recall correctly. So actually thats already in to some degree.
What I wondered does the dmg change, Like when I shoot through a car, and it penetrates 2 glass panes?

There’s no damage reduction after passing through materials with penetration (like glass) and there should be no limit to how many penetrable surfaces the bullet passes through. In simplistic terms we only define ‘can the bullet trace pass through this or not’.

And I think it’s great that way. Cmon, stop asking for realism in Xt.

whos asking for realism

Ah actually its 2 glass panes, at least in that old alpha I tested just now - not 3…
C’mon smooth, you guys even have a testmap for this

Well I stand corrected, but I did cover myself by saying ‘should:cool:

Don’t know where in the real game that we have 3 panes of glass lined up like that though

Its a very interesting video from the op ,but XT Doesnt need to be realistic like this .I would bring too many questionable kills .Like you would hear a lot of
’ HACKER ! ’ .But a technical complex chart about weapons behaviour is always welcome

its like people cant read, or they only read what they want to see. nobody has once even mentioned realism to any capacity. just that a comprehensive chart/video would be really neat.
