can not authenticate user issue (only after the update)

I’ve searched the forums for an answer, but all the previous issues of this didn’t have any fixes that worked

While playing the game, the picture freezes and I am crashed straight to the desktop, no warnings or any other information. The only way I was able to find out that it was the authentication issues was from asking other players what happened. I have only been having this problem lately, after the latest update. At first I was happening after about 10mins of game play but now it is happening more frequently and usually during the first 2mins of game play. I’ve tried verifying the integrity of the game cache but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you post a dxdiag? Also, check your Event Viewer to see if there are any error messages in there that maybe just aren’t getting displayed on your desktop.

I’ve noticed that the “cannot authenticate” message seems to show up in game when people crash out for various different reasons, so it’s possible it was caused by the crash rather than being the source of it.

Getting the exact same problem, No idea what is causing it. Crashing in clanwars is not fun.

Can you try the following two steps to see fi they help?

  1. [li]Ensure Steam Client is updated[/li]-- In Steam, select Check for Steam Client Updates… from the Steam menu
