Can NEVER EVER find a game on Xbox (NZ)

(KiwiForce) #1

Ok i love Brink, Unfortunately it doesn’t love me back. I’ve had it since week 1 and have NEVER been in a full game…EVER the most I’ve had is about 6 and it was lagging quite a bit the ONLY reason i can think of is that im in NZ (New Zealand) so maybe that’s why? I have searched over 20 times n every mode and tried new characters and old characters. I loved this game for the world it was set in and the customization, I’ve only got one more achievement left to go before i 100% it. But unless SD releases a patch b4 i get it I’m going to have to sell it. So PLEASE does anyone have ANY idea how to find a full game that doesnt require adding people on my friends list from the US cause I did that and the lag makes it unplayable. I’m sorry Brink it’s been a good run and i stood by you… But I think its time you went out to pasture…

“WE MUST SAVE DE ARK!”

PS: SOMEONE needs to make a Brink Movie. Morgan Freeman as Cpt. Mokeana!

Ah you see, you might have difficulty finding games but in truth the game sold really well.

Yeah… That doesn’t help me at all…

I’m sure you don’t get it. Brink SOLD a lot. There’s a really large theoretical player base, it’s really popular.

See? This graph shows this enormous peak at the start. Those are all people owning Brink.

And that’s not everything, we’re sure that for the consoles, because the statistics are completely unobtainable the popularity is way higher. That’s good for you!

Tokmak, can you stop being a dick

in general NZ doenst realy have much players due to the fact that SD is a british based company(NZ is more bisaed on US games by default) and the fact that the game is not CoD/BF/Mainstream Bollocks.

importantly:

Whats your NAT type?

(tangoliber) #6

Its mainly because you are in NZ. I’m in Japan and I have come across less than 5 people in all the times I’ve searched. The game just won’t set us up with other players unless the ping is really good. I think the standards are too high, since after the lag patch, it plays really smooth even when I’m with Americans. (The host advantage is still significant enough to render competitive matches among people in different countries meaningless, but it is not too noticeable in pubs.)

You will need to find people elsewhere in the world who play and add them to your friends list so that you can join on their games.

lucky you… 6 players that’s like 1/3 of the pc community.

Definetly because you’re in New Zealand! I played 8v8 matches just this weekend. I would do as ‘Tangoliber’ suggests, add some other people who play and try to join them.
The ability to find people is strongly tied to your connection and your geographical location. This is why stupid people post threads with statistics, sales numbers or ‘Is this game dead?’ headings.
