Second time I hear something about this and yet I fail to understand how that’s true. If I’m just little bit out of point blank range, they seem to just do a sliver of damage for me.
Its happening to me and all my mates I was just playing the story with, was against bots. Doesnt happen against other real life people.

The bots can basically snipe you in the head with a shotty, or any gun for that matter. if you shoot one bullet into a bot, you have a high chance that they will turn around in a millisecond and kill you with one or two shots to the head. Hard difficulty at least.
Its that bad on normal aswell its a right ball=ache
fingers crossed the patch for the anti-lag will be out on the 360 soon and we can play together against randoms online without it being unplayably laggy, do love the game tho

The maps are very small and almost all the combat is close quarters. So SMGs fit every situation you can get in better than any other weapon type. Also they’re probably used so much because they have almost no recoil at all.

Im sorry but does it really matter what kills you? If the ARs held more than 90 rounds im sure you would be killed by those all the time too. They need to up the AR bullet amount.
There are 2 SMG’s and 1 AR that look identical on the picture but they are slightly different.
The Euston and the Carb-9 look very similar, so you may not be getting killed by SMG’s.
I use a large variety of weapons. Both Long Rifles are great, the Euston, Rockstedi, that crazy revolver, 2 different SMG’s, the Mossington (love it!). All the guns are fantastic in this game, minus the lobster (make it impact detonation).
What? How do you run out of bullets with an AR? Do you just not reload after kills? They aren’t for hip spray and even if you tried to use them like that they are too slow.
SMGs work well for the mid range class
That why most people use them. Once people learn the game your see more AR use and heavy lads
SMGs would be great to be killed by, I’m always getting 1-shot by the light rifles, I thought this game didn’t have OSOK 
The rifles I’ve tried to use only have two magazines worth of ammunition when you start out. I don’t think the guy meant the number of rounds in the magazine.
