Can anyone Help please?

Since the update a couple of hours ago i cannot play Dirtybomb, i keep getting a ‘Steam Error’ saying it ‘failed to start game’ (app already running), does anyone know how to fix this please?

I did try deleting the appcache file in the Steam files and rebooted tried to launch but still the same Error… Please Help??

Also, i can launch other games from Steam, this appears to just be DirtyBomb (since the update)… Help.

Have you attempted to validate your game files in steam?

Yeah bro i just finished trying to launch it as Admin and then also i just validated files… Still Same Error :unamused:

If i delete DirtyBomb and then re-install it will i lose all my Mercs and Progress?

No, your account information is saved to the server. You may lose any special keybinds that are not defaults and any custom config you may use for your UI.

I tried disabling my AVG and Viola… DirtyBomb launched :smiley:

Thanks for all who helped and keep this in mind when this re-occurs in future :wink:

Now, back to playing Dirty with Harold.

@Baz I disabled my fire wall and i don’t have avg so what do i do

@skyman549 I would suggest opening a new thread for your issue. Most situations are different and we don’t have any information about your problem besides that you might be getting the same error as Baz.

Also, if you don’t have avg you likely have a different anti-virus you can try disabling.

@Ardez i did open a new thread and baz led me here and i have the basic windows defender

@skyman549 : The only other thing i can think of is Compatability mode and i posted the link on your thread dude.
