Camden the other night....

Camden what can I say, I really am glad I was not lumped on the other team as being pushed so close into your own spawn sucks. However I had I naff game also from my perspective. As sitting around the objective with only the odd straggler to shoot at is boring. Mind you if I had went storming off close into the opposing side of the map, maybe the other team might of got some objectives done. Consequently making for a better game all round, for all those playing at least in my view.

This got me thinking while on a long 4 hour observation stint at work today, it would of been more enjoyable from my perspective if… Given that spawn waves are now part and parcel. If the supposedly defending side is pushed balls deep into attackers side of the map. Also yes I do realize that this won’t work in indoor maps like Canary Wharf. That the attackers can choose to parachute spawn in the defenders side of the map ONCE per objective. A few seconds after the last attackers spawn wave. With the restriction only after a minimum 50% of the allotted time for the objective has passed.

Thoughts?

I guess I saw SD mentioning that the spawntimes haven’t been tuned yet, it is coming , so it’s good to have these discussion threads. In the competitive forum here, there’s a thread (pugs and scrims) where this problem has been touched. The idea there is to increase the spawntimes on WC and Camden. Though Camden probably will be more delicate to tune up (careful increase needed), whereas on WC there’s always this lift buffer that seems to be the most time-defining step.

Camden certainly needs balancing, but I am not sure something as drastic as parachuting behind enemy lines is needed - although its always cool - it would feel out of place in DB with the small map sizes.
