add an info_player_deathmatch…

(NoSoup4U) #3

Rightclick anywhere on a viewport (not the 3d viewport) : And choose info --> info_player_deathmatch.
It will insert your spawn (be sure it’s not within the void/stuck in the wall).

What is deathmatch used for that redspawn, bluespawn isnt? Is it because we’re working in dm mode and not multiplayer mode. Just wondering the reasoning behind adding a dm spawnpoint?

(duke'ku) #5

because they removed info_player_start. info_player_deathmatch is the replacement.

I mainly use info_player_deathmatch when i quickly compile a map, and need to be sure of either an ‘entrance’ for both sides and/or a spectator ‘entrance’.
I have not yet tried porting any stuff i made to ET : so i actually don’t know if it will work ‘instantly’ , when you compiled the map with it.
From a quick glance at the manual, the finished map needs to have the team_CTF_spawns.

Just have a quick glance at their example they included : see what spawnpoints they use : see how they do the stuff you see :and then learn from it.
