business model: same as tribe ascend?

Hi,

So, tell me if im wrong :

The Merks are character ,that ,belong to a class, and that have specific weapons/hability/stats etc…
The founder’s Merks are merk with 100% the same stat/weapon/ability than the other Merks in the shop, but they have a special unique skin.

Thus said , i wonder if ull sell some weapon/gears etc… to? Not only full equiped loadout character.
I really enjoyed the Tribe ascend business model; u could unlock some full loadout, AND , then, unlock other weapon/gears, to customize ur loadout weapon .( but not make it stronger)

That made the TA a real f2p : all weapon unlocked substitute another weapon, and arent stronger. just different. Same for loadout. I think its the best business model for a fps f2p.

So, what about Dirty Bomb?

As a real fps f2p customer, id really enjoy something like Tribe ascend did. That made people who paid, and people who didnt paid happy.

As I mentioned before technically it’s a different “outfit” not just a different “skin”.

For example a different skin would be a blue baseball cap and a green baseball cap.

Where as a different outfit would be a blue baseball cap and a green cork hat.

i.e. skin (colour) + model (type of hat) + ? = outfit

Now the question is what is contained within the “?”. Do the different models have different hitboxes that make them easier/harder to hit? Are there a different set of animations that make them easier/harder to hit/predict/track? etc. The skin and model are just cosmetic and I also hope the ? will contain no advantages/disadvantages, but we don’t know for sure yet.

Of course I hope it goes without saying that a hat was just used as an example, but the outfit refers to all items of clothing and possibly even unique gun models (maybe?).

I think it’s more 99.99% the same than 100%.

Dude i dont get your point.
In f2p skin refer to EVERYTHING that is cosmetic. No matter how big is change ( only colour or the shape) the character. Only color change= full shape/outfit change= skin.
But that wasnt the point of my topic, i just wanted to put my feedback about the kind of business model id like to see, and, as introduction, i just wanted to explain the Merks thing, since its not clear at all for everybody.

I dont really care about skin in fps ( since we cant see ourself), but i really care about the business model.

I’m not sure if anyone can answer the question, as we’re under NDA, but your understanding of what a Merc is, is correct.
