Bushwhackers Turret Placement

is it just me or has the placement of the turret became far more difficult?

I find the locations I can place the turret are more restricted, particularly close to walls and in general i am getting the red turret more often than not. Just wondering if this was an intentional nerf change?

Not just you. I’ve had hard time placing turrets recently as well. Sometimes I have to walk around with it for great 10 seconds to finally find a spot in an area that seems perfectly clear.

Which is really weird whilst the turret can still be placed on handrails like in the barricade generator room of “Bridge”.

I find that it cannot be placed too near to other deployables (e.g. Aura’s station) a lot of the time, but other times it is fine (e.g. with another turret). An example is the green EV building on Bridge around the steps choke area.

The fact that auras station prevents the turret is super annoying. And hard to understand why because for example proxy mines can be placed just fine.

The same problem occurs with the ammo station. It’s really frustrating to say the least…

I wish there was some kind of ground highlighting system in place that shows a light red glow in locations you can’t place the turret or green glow for places you can.

You’re not the only one to get annoyed by that. You can’t place turrets:
a) close to healing/ammo stations - even few steps away from them
b) sometimes next to other turrets or dynamites
c) in other viable spots where it should fit without any problem (for example Bridge 1st stage metal stairs - it was possible before)

its probably so turrets can’t be put on top of stations - stations later reclaimed and turrets left hovering in the air.

But its a pretty damn heavy-handed solution.

With proxy mines it can happen exactly what you describe and in those cases they plop down to the ground floor. It should work that way.

thing is there is no consistency behind it, you can still put a turret on the handrail above the barricade controls on bridge, which effectively has the turret floating in mid-air…no comment from the devs :frowning:

Good stuff. Not exactly the number one priority right now, but glad its not intentional.
