Bushwhacker Secondary Ability Concept

(Samniss_Arandeen) #1

Should Bushwhacker be able to toggle the Turret on and off remotely? Imagine being able to set it up, then turning it off so it doesn’t automatically shoot at the enemy that runs past it. Then the whole group of enemies runs past, and you turn it on so it can shoot them all in the back instead of the first one.

It would introduce a whole new timing component to our favorite Whacker of Bush, being able to spring surprises (BOOM! Heh, see?) at exactly the time and place they’re needed.

There’s a slight “boot-up” time to the activation before it begins shooting, and if the enemy finds it, or worse, kills Bushwhacker before he activates it, the Turret itself is a sitting duck.

Is this a good idea, or would this be useless/overpowered?

Could be useful

I like this idea, would certainly make the turret more useful instead of it automatically freaking out every time an enemy pops up (SOMEONE SAID HOWITZER)

I also had an idea of my own but I decided against it because i thought it might encourage camping or maybe be too OP or smth.

Basically it was the ability to remote control or take over the turret from afar so you can shoot enemies out of its range.

But not sure how something like that could be balanced or even viable for this game, just a thought that cropped into my head when i used him for the first time the other day.

He should be able to rotate it at least…

(CCP115) #5

As long as it doesn’t make that obnoxious noise I’m game.

(Sir_Slam) #6

That’s a funny idea, I can see people jumping out of their skin because they suddenly start taking fire from a bushwhacker.

(Samniss_Arandeen) #7

Do clarify what obnoxious noise you’re talking about.

That’s the idea! With team coordination, a group of enemies will be jumping out of their skins when they start taking fire from multiple directions, which is what the remote toggle switch is meant to do.

That too. Being able to rotate it to place it right in that corner would go a long way to hiding a Turret until the moment is right, and so enemies can’t get behind it and rek it.
