Bushwhacker Buff?

Is Bushwhacker’s turret even being looked at for any sort of buff to make him more viable as an engineer? The new Thunder nerf coming made me think about my favorite engie who’s needing some love. I’d honestly be happy with just a cooldown reduction, but given that it’s been a crazy long time since he’s had any sort of adjustment to his kit I’m thinking either SD thinks he’s fine where he is, or just doesn’t particularly care.

I personally use him exclusively as an engineer because of his main weapon selections, even though his turret is underpowered against any player who knows what they are doing. I love using the turret, but I’d like for it to be balanced towards the utility of Fletcher’s stickies or Proxy’s mines because right now, it isn’t.

I’m ok where he is. I usually can get 4-7 kills before its destroyed when i find good spots. (And by then i get a new turret)

A great buff would be if it could be rotated, this way you can put the turret in more sneaky spots.

Long as it’s not manual firing, there’s a reason wrangler is banned in TF2 comp.

Another thing I wouldn’t mind seeing would be the turret’s reclaim refund on cooldown being increased to make it more effective offensively; that way you could move the turret up with less downtime. At the moment, reclaiming only grants 24 seconds or so of cooldown back, with the total cooldown being 35-40 seconds.

Oh right, it was the shield providing damage reduction that got it banned in comp.

But still, I think manual turret is best suited for a new merc. Something of a portable mounted machine gun.

I was kinda hoping Turtle’s wall was gonna come with a machine gun emplacement. Ah well, maybe in the future.

demo man player are so salty about it because their glorified rock thrower dont work as well as they did before
