building the objective

(diaper eater) #1

ok so i just had this idea, im making a small capture the flag style map, and i was thinking that instead of just stealing the objecitve, you would hafta go into enemy territory and build the stealable objective, then steal it, or maybe just steal the objective, then hafta build the escape zone, or need to build both, would this be possible. and if so is it as easy as making the objective and all its pieces, then taking all that and making it constructable, or are there other implications of scripting to disable stealing the invisble objective before its built, etc.

thank you

 im very excited right now cuz i want this to work

not to put a dampner on your ideas but it sounds fairly boring.

There is no CTF in ET because that’s not really what ET is about - if your want CTF stick to standard Q3.

But the idea of building an item in the enemy base is going to be very difficult for the opposing team so I would suggest sticking to standard contructables.

Soz.

why would you build your own stealable objective in enemy territory??
sounds kinda reared to me :stuck_out_tongue:

sounds like it would be fun actually–maybe something LEADING to obj. you get to the final area and you have to build the ladder to the docs, or something.

well, i just remembered that railgun is basically waht im after, because the axis have to build the firing controls, and then they have to push the button, so could that just be replaced with a stealable objective, sd guys any help?
