Bug with equiping?

Allready submitted a ticket but I thought id share it here anyways…

I bhought a hamjak auto-sg as it says medic, sniper, spy, soldier and engineer can use it. Well none of my medics, snipers, soldiers and spies can use it!

I feel ripped off. :frowning:

I just checked the store and it says that it’s only available to the engineer as intended. Where did it say it’s for all classes?

I agree. I purchased the the H Auto-SG as well some time ago, but can confirm it has always been labeled for the Engineer class. Though, be it as it may, it is easy to mistake weapon requirements and overlook the tortuously small icon.

@sandman, no worries, bud, its a solid shotgun and will deal supreme damage --compared to the other shotguns. Stick it with the engineer (or buy one) and you’ll see the potential.

It says so on my device, clearly states it can be used by medics etc. Also Tinkers FAQ confirms this.

I dont own an engineer nor do I intend on getting one, I was thinking a new gun before a new soldier… Now Im out of Gold. Sigh

Under who can use it, all icons appear…

Ive seen Sneaky Pete as NPC use it as well.

Its not my call, but I doubt they will reimburse you for a clerical error.

Additionally, you cannot judge what you see in an AI challenges with your personal soldiers. As backwards as it might sound, those are challenges not a model for your own soldier. Within the barracks, the handgun icon allows you to see and purchase weapons available for that soldier and class, and excludes what you cannot use. Whereas, the storefront just shows it collectively. Be sure to read before you start every challenge (as to know what to prepare for), every weapon purchase (to check stats, cost and requirements), and recruitment purchase (as to check his weapon, stats, and cost); as it can hinder your game experience.

Perhaps, you can get better assistance if you were to map out the actions and buttons pressed, to find the source of the problem (eg Home Screen>Barracks button>Barracks Screen>Etc)

I know normally when Im in the Barracks the weapons I can use are listed for each soldier. I therefor found it odd that when I looked in the store/weapons/ that the Hamjak auto-sg was available for medic etc. as its a shotgun. But the icons said it can and also the FAQ here says you can.

So I bhought it, it is a BUG even if a Visually one only. Anyone able to tell me how to take a ingame screenshot from my Ipad 3?

Nevermind found out will take pic as soon as my wife allows me to use my Ipad. :wink:

Curious, why stray from the barracks to purchase a weapon, when everything available is right there?

Maybe I’m adding insult to injury, I’m just confused. Tinker is also a user like us, not representing Warchest or Splash.
Either way, maybe a Developer will post again soon, or you’ll get your Help Ticket answered.

ps.
On any Apple touch product, Screenshots can be made at anytime by pressing Home+Power buttons simultaneously.

Can you send me a screenshot of this and which device/OS version and game version you’re running? Also if it’s this username. I think two weapons used to be mislabeled in July when we went into limited release but that has long been fixed since so I would think.

It appears to be a bug with the non-English versions of the store. We’ll get that fixed as soon as possible.

English version seems correct on my iphone 4 / ipad 2. Only available to engineers.

As an aside:
NPCs can use whatever weapons they want in challenges though. In fact when starting (iirc) the medium challenges it actually says that you’ll be meeting characters that are armed with weapons that they normally can’t equip.

That means gold invested in that weapon are gone? As I do not own an Engineer… :frowning:

It is their error and they should reimburse you the gold. I work in QA and a bug is a bug is a bug. Developers problem, not yours. Whether there is 2 ways to purchase a gun or not, people will use both ways and both should be accurate. I am confident the good people are Warchest will remedy the problem. Maybe they will just give you a free engineer instead. Now that would be cool :slight_smile:
