I didn’t see a bug report forum, so I figured I’d post it here. I also did a search, and didn’t find anything about the issue.
Anyway… my character was able to use heavy weapons as a light type, even after relogging.
How it happened was that I was set as heavy type with heavy weapons. I sold my abilities and demoted myself from level 15 to 14 and then changed my body type. I could now use the two heavy weapons my character was already equiped with. I also noticed I was still weaing the level 15 clothes I had equiped previously - that were now locked (think it was “the voice” set).
I’ve tried replicating the issue, but it didn’t work a second time. Not did it work to simply select heavy type, select heavy weapons, then switch to light body type either. So I’ve consequently demoted myself twice - hope you appreciate my dedication ;p
