Buff Pineapple Juggler

(TheOmniscient) #1

For those of us who have and use old school cards with pineapple juggler (either for fun or because our favorite cards are special editions with it), lets try to have our voices heard and get a buff for this perk! All in favor, paste ideas in the comments, and if you are with me on this.

Personally, these are my suggestions for this perk:
[] Actually convert the reflected projectile to your projectile (atm it still counts as your opponents)
[
]The person using Pineapple Juggler actually gets kill credit
[] The hitbox and range of pineapple juggler is increased
[
] Can shoot projectiles out of the air easier with guns?

I have also started this petition on steam, feel free to post there too!

A petition ? Don’t you think that’s a little exaggerated ?

(doxjq) #3

Perhaps, but in all honesty if it was as pop up in game that comes up as you start or quit Dirty Bomb, probably 9/10 would agree it needs something lol.

(BlackboltLW) #4

Just make Pineapple Juggler as a passive augment for the cricket bat, please

Better make it a feedback thread and argue for the reasons why Pineapple Juggler could be a great addition to gen 3 cards and could use a decent buff as well, without calling it a petition. Making “petitions” just feels unnecessarily agressive to me, and doesn’t really open a debate nicely.

Going back on the subject : the augment was dumped in Gen 2 because it wasn’t wasn’t practical to use as far as I can remember. In theory it’s good. But in practice a fragger nade will explode at your face no matter what thank to cooking, and it requires you to switch to knife mid fight, which is overall not a good idea. SD tried to rework the augment multiple times as far as I know, with few success.

I’m not totally convinced if pineapple juggler coming back could be a good thing in all honesty.

First, thanks for the feedback, all is appreciated.

I think you missed what I’m quite aiming for. It isn’t that I want to see it back in Gen. III, its that:
A ). This Perk could be incredibly fun on the existing cards
B ). Some of us have Special Edition Cards with this, and currently, it makes our fun, special cards inferior. i.e My Xmas2015 G52 Redeye.

Ik petition is aggressive, which was the point, because SD was going to wash their hands of this perk, and if some of us want to see change, we are going to have to actively convince SD to revamp it.

It is not practical currently for a few reasons, which can definitely be fixed.
[]
Small Hitboxes --> Increase hitbox size for Pineapple Juggler
[
] Low Range --> Increase the Range you can hit a projectile
[] Knife impractibility --> Have it increase quick melee speed IF there is a projectile to deflect in range
[
] Useless reflected projectile (it literally is still the person’s who shot the projectile)–> Convert it to your teams instead of leaving it as an opponents.

Extra? - Shoot projectiles out of the air easier? Bigger Hitboxes for that?

Also, feedback thread huh? I guess I’ll post something there too.

(TheOmniscient) #7

@Eox I can’t find the feedback thread, mind pointing me to it? >.<

(Your worst knifemare.) #8

I honestly forgot that it existed.

(Eox) #9

You just have to make the thread in the correct section.

I can just move and rename your thread as well.

(LifeupOmega) #10

I can’t believe i still use this augment but its proven its worth when I solo defended Bridge generator against 2 Naders. :'D

If you wouldn’t mind, I would appreciate it.

Lol, nice job on that!

@eox u the only mod left??? I dont see any other mods roaming the presidential offices

We won’t be making any changes to Gen 1 Augments. We removed/updated them for Gen 2 and will continue to see what we can improve or update in a bigger way to give more variety in gameplay.

Thread moved and renamed.

Sorry I’m late.

And OP is a Proxy main?

Um… I get guns adding variety, etc. But removing augments from cards that literally allow you to counter things such as explosives - How on earth does this GIVE MORE VARIETY?
If you want more variety in playstyles and in strengths of mercs, change the maps. I’ve already said this in the past, and I truly believe changing the maps could benefit greatly over-all.

So basically our gen 1 special editions that are laden with this augment will be inferior to newer cards forever? That is really depressing…

Im taking that as an attempted insult

I don’t play Proxy much anymore. Sure, it would be nice if my special edition Proxies had Pineapple Juggler buffed. What actually mildly bothers me is my G52 What the Dickens? Redeye has this, and its kinda a joke perk on an already bad card. I probably wouldn’t care, but this is the only special card I got from an equipment case, which during the event had a 0.3% drop rate, if I remember correctly. That is really why I made this thread more than anything, and because this could be a really comical and amusing perk if buffed correctly. Lets see, my cards with Pineapple Juggler are. the Ke21 (Humble Bundle) for Proxy, the Ke12 (Suspect) for Proxy, the G52 for Redeye (xmas2015 aka WTD), T92 for Skyhammer (Humble Bundle) and the A92 for Rhino (Gen 1 Fragment Cobalt). Those are what I know I have off the top of my head. But I would love for all of these to get a little boost from this augment being buffed. Even though I don’t exactly use them too much, except for the Redeye, I use that everytime I play him (which is a ton).

it was pretty useless since people dont use cards with situational augments and prefer cards with Drilled or Explodydendron.

also, who uses cool anyway
