Okay, I am running the latest version of gtkradiant, but when I try to compile, halfway through a message pops up saying the BSP process has timed out??
ANY help would be appreciated…

I’ve found the same problem, and for a long time it had happened on previous releases too.
The only solution I’ve found is to make sure the compile process is not hapening infront of the editor window. It seems that when vis finishes and a new window opens up for light fase, gtk tries to re-draw the area that was underneath the old window. This causes alot of memory swapping and crunching and interrupts the connection to the compile.
Since I’ve been minimising the editor window when the compile starts, I’ve had no problems with this again.
On the other hand, you may want to get some more ram, IMO 192MB is a lil low for mapping and will cause windows to use alot of hdd space as ram, which will slow things down alot.
