What do you want?
A bsp is a compiled map file, and contains binary data. You could decompile it to a .map file, but not split it into multiple files.

thats what i want to do lol decompile it couldnt think of the word at the time, what do i need to decompile a bsp ?

You need to search for it. :stuck_out_tongue:
I’ve posted it before but I’m to lame right now to look it up again, you should be able to find it. Kinda tiren right now. :insert sleepy smiley:

what search words are wise to use

“q3map2” is a good one.

(Shaderman) #7

EULA, illegal and copyright :moo:

(Twisted0n3) #8

Not necessarily. Decompiling your own bsp because you lost/b0rked the map file somehow isn’t unheard-of.

Or to modify another one’s map IF you have his permission.

(Q.) #10

This reminds me of lightmap data though it seems that this is not the one you want.
What are you trying to do?
If you want to modify your lightmap data, there is a feature in q3map2 called export and import.
Just my $0.02.

You’re looking for instructions on how to decompile, search on “Decompile”
