Brinks bad reviews, Lawls, and MK9?

I think one of my responses a day or two ago gave to much credit to the online community and I actually claimed people are independent thinkers. Let me address a few things people have mentioned in reviews and on this board (and others).

  1. The pace of the game troubled me a little at first but thats simply because everyone on console sucks. This is not opinion its fact (not being biased or spiteful I have every platform).

  2. Bot A.I. is… bad? Say it ain’t so Johnny. Really people name me one Objective based shooter with amazing A.I. don’t worry I will wait… (In actuality I won’t).

  3. Lastly… follow those guys points to fat angry kid in halo t-shirt and frat brother with popped collar and cod ball cap they are jumping off the bridge at about noon.

Brinks situation to me is identical to MK9. I love fighting games and I watched the same thing happen with MK9. It was bashed to death by SF and MvC fanboys until they were blue in the face (MK9 is great btw and the best of the series by miles). No body wants to share the pie.

All that said if Brink sucks believe me this little burp is going to get way louder (I would join the hate train).

you say your not being bias, but saying EVERYONE on consoles suck is bias and wrong. that is straight up your opinion, it isn’t fact. i don’t care if you do own every platform.

how do you know? are you the best console player alive? highly doubt it. if you claim you don’t wanna be bias then keep your opinions to yourself.

I say try it for yourself, reviews are other people’s opinions. Not everyone enjoys the same things.

I’ve been watching gameplay videos and in my opinion it looks awesome. Bring on release I say.

Perhaps suck wasn’t the best word to use and for that I apologize.

Console players don’t have the same range of tools as a PC gamer (in respect to FPS games). When I said they suck I was thinking only from this point of view but I didn’t state that and so thats my fault.

P.S. - The level of control a console gamer has in a fps can directly affect this gameplay. Perfect example UT2004 imagine it on consoles. There are great console gamers but they are limited by the tools. I play a few fps games on console and some on PC so I am subject to the restrictions as well and same criticism.

i’ll let it slide then since you apologized. lol

i do agree that PC gamers have an advantage when it comes to competitive gaming, but there are still console players/teams that are highly good.

Yea the boards are too heated at the moment I want things to stay peaceful. I understand everyones panic (who doesn’t hate to spend 40-50 bucks and get shafted looks at copy of Portal 2) but most of it right now is just the hate train.

I have friends that bash games I play solely because they are on the PC and not Xbox Live. “Dude you play on PC why? Aren’t there like only 6 other people lol get it on Live”.

anyone on any forums should know they have a chance to be trolled @ ne moment based off what they say lol

but different people different preferences. like me i have a PS3 (don’t give me the PSN shaft, i know…i know) and the reason being is because they have many AWESOME exclusives. I mean this year alone PS3 will have LBP2, Killzone 3, Socom 4, Yakuza 4, Infamous 2, Twisted Metal, Resistance 3, and Uncharted 3. It’s a good year to own a Playstation no doubt.

Its a bad time to own a PS3 I only say this out of pure frustration. I have MK9 on the PS3 and have yet to play online I am forced to play through arcade mode over and over or occasionally go to a friends house.

I love my PS3 but thank goodness I have a PC to play Brink otherwise Id lose my mind or get it on “Live”.

Ok, how about this. I was top 10 GB for CoD 4 3 seasons running. People on console suck compared to PC.

I know nothing about “!bK” (Burger King comes to mind) or “top 10 GB” (GameBryo?) and very litle about CoD 4. It’s educational, that’s the point.

And what your being good at something has to do with the various platforms is entirely a mystery to me.

@Trigger: I think it will get better reviews. Because in the previews I saw the people were very impressed.
I think it will be a 8-8,5/10. But … it doesnt really cares me^^

I’m also banking on scores between 8 and 8,5 and bottom lines like “Solid game for a somewhat limited audience”, similar to games like Left4Dead. Sounds reasonable enough, imho.

It will get like an 8.0 because “no “real” campaign, bad graphics (I think they are fine but people are haten’), high learning curve and only 1 game mode”. Even though CoD games have all of those and get scores of 9.5.

Even though other more popular titles include a ****ty campaign, the same graphics engine they used 4 years ago though the limited color palette makes them look good, and in those same titles even with the multiple game modes they all come down to death match with nobody doing objectives anyway.
