Brink weapon pack idea

(Hot-Wire) #21

I want rockets :D.

Rocket Launcher-
2 rounds normal. 4 rounds after improved ammo buff.
Slow reload after each round.
High damage if only direct hit (Deals same damage as a barnet). Knocks down when direct hit. Splash damage does very little.
Range is limited (self detonates) unless locked on to target (Explained later)
High damage against bots (3 rockets to take 1 out) and has the ability to destroy gun placements. (Takes 2 rockets) Takes turrets down to a sliver of health with 1 rocket. Enemies repairing bots or using a gun placement at the time of destruction by a rocket is an instant knockdown to a bleedout stage.
Inaccurate and unpredictable when fired unscoped.
Only heavies can use.
Has a 1 second startup, before fire. (Gets into a crouching animation before firing) (If you are crouched already, you bypass the animation)
Is able to lock on to hard objects, while scoped in and with the crosshair placed ontop of the object for 2 seconds. (This is with laser scope attachment)
Is able to switch laser scope off for a more traditional iron site. This increases swap speed and ADS speed, but loses homing abilities.

I’d argue that they should pair down the weapons instead of add more. Less is more approach.

(Crytiqal) #23

Yet, if players are running around with a Carb-9 everyone is whining their asses off

(wolfnemesis75) #24

More guns please. Its a cool list. Yay! Get’er done!

(BROTOX) #25

Notice the cartoon character on the far left (graphic on top of page) has a freddy kruger glove and the anger on the far right has a sword. Hmmm.

(Hot-Wire) #26

It’s really easy to unmask a disguise. You shoot at them… you get red blood coming out of them. It is a disguised operative.
Notice the cartoon character on the far left (graphic on top of page) has a freddy kruger glove and the anger on the far right has a sword. Hmmm.
A machete/katana would be cool in this game for a Light Body. And a baseball bat for a Medium and a wooden board with a rusty nail sticking out of it that only a Heavy can use. Heavy can wield a baseball bat or a wooden board. All deal extra damage except for when its wielded by a heavy. Heavy should have a slow swing, but when it connects, it should be insta-death. Just fantasizing here. Lol.

Bullet upgrades: Bigger bullets (More recoil, more damg)
Exploding bullets (self-explanatory)
Poison darts (only avaiable to snipers, pistols, and crossbow)

Weapons exclusive to one side, like taser for security, and home-made crossbow for the resistance
Flamethrowers!
That you can in fact get to places as a light body type others can’t (and yes, that is a weapon)

Yours sincerely,
-DrDwarrel

PS:You’ve been playing a little bit too much soldier lately, Baiken6609, c’mon, poison darts for soldiers!?
PPS:Totally agree with you guys about melee, laser pointers, more underbarrels, and everything else!
PPPS: Tapirs! :stroggtapir:

I think there should be gns in each category which are just modes of themselves. for example an AK LMg an AK AR and an AK SMG
Actually these ideas are quite good.
But i prefer an operative orverhaul with Operative Pack V.2

1)Improved operatives:
Disguised as medic
When you disguise as a medic, you should be able to inject poison, they see their health buff, but it actually injects them with poison. the posion will take away 60hp(1/2 of a lights and 1/3 of a heavy) and will take its time effecting the soldier but with disorientation . you will also be able to throw lethal revive syringes and poisonous Lazarus grenades .

As a disguised Soldier
As a disguised soldier, you should give them ammo, they see ammo, but as soon as your far enough away or a certain period of time has gone, their Guns Jamm up( too big bullets) this only takes a few seconds to repairAn engineer can fix this for them or they can wait in a corner for a few seconds.

As a Disguised Engineer
And as a disguised engineer you can weaken their guns .but it wears off after time and if a engineer buffs their gun, it negetes it and adds what the engineer would normally buff them for.In simple, you weaken their guns but an engineer can fix and buff simultaneously

As a disguised Operative
Disguised operative : tricky: when the person your disguised as sees oyou. you dont look like them .So you look like another person to them(more importantly, not anyone that is neerby_ but theyre teamates will see double so be carefull
General aditions
also you should be able to shoot blanks to trick the enemy, these do no damage to ur team. if u shoot an enemy however, you lose your disguse and do damage.
These tactics are amazing in the heat of battle but given time are resolvable. Also adding a HE charge as an operative just adds a fake one which does not blow up

Sounds awesome. Hope sd is taking notes also how about weight and class specific tactical supply moves?
For example a heavy soildier could run through glass or a weak wall and grab an enemy and stab him in the throat for an expensive hit to the supply meter.
Light ops could scale walls like ezio [vertically or consecutive wall runs, jumps] while dropping bundles of caltrops and sticky grenades. Just a thought, map em to right analog stick?
Hm. I wonder where iezza got those ideas from…

Note - Crytiqal’s Response.

Lolwut about it, i made those ideas like ages ago.

16th of may to be precise

Add female character class
Add a cucumber and an oil bottle.

You know the rest.

oh, forgot the Veil Assasin class. A must have… really.

Profit!

(BioSnark) #33

Make the current weapons satisfying. There are already way more than enough options. They just need to be good options.
