Brink Wallpapers from gamingpalace.de contest

Maybe you’ve already heard from Splashdamage news:

German site GamingPalace has been running a Brink wallpaper competition. The three winning entries will each get a Brink character poster, with the overall winner also getting a Brink t-shirt on top of that. The contest is open to anyone including folks outside Germany and you’ve got until 19 July to post your entries in this forum thread.

Now it’s the 20. July 2010, the contest WIN A POSTER is finished. Now, there’s the ranking soon. But before our jury give their decision, we make a community voting (from gamingpalace.de community) until the 25. July 2010. The votings arent important for the ranking, its just interesting. The 26. July 2010, we will decide for the 3 winners, and then we send them the prices!

You should number them, that makes it easier to comment.

I’m really liking Shiv’s, brainhack’s and some of synced. Most of the ones synced made are a little simple though. They look great but they took relatively little effort to create because it’s just slapping some screenshots together.

The last one Pytox entered is great as well, but there’s something wrong about the ark logo, it’s the wrong font I think.

Excuse my being late… it was a hard decision, because all wallpapers are very great, every wallpaper has sth special. For that we could really evaluate every necessary point to make a ranking, we took our time.

  1. PLACE:
    Pythox (number 18)
    Simple and great. The game focuses about one point: The ark. “A true place of happiness”. A wishful thinking of the humanity to create a perfect place. The WP expresses thre tranquilityand ambience, maked by the outline of the ark in a silent place. Nice.

  2. PLACE:
    Shiv (number 17)
    just a great WP. Some kind of dark ingame excitement without showing a fighting scene.

  3. PLACE:
    H0RSE (number 9)
    why not inverse a WP? Instead of a picture with a logo, he made a logo with a picture. Nice implementation, very detailled. Of course, its not a WP size, but with a dark background, it’s what H0RSE imagined.

  4. PLACE:
    (((GENOTYPE))) (number 12)
    nice action scenes, great wallpaper.

right, there are 2x 3. place. H0RSE will get the 3. official brink wallpaper. For Geno, we reserve another “consolation price”. Because we couldn’t really decide if we will take H0RSEs or Genos WP.

Congratulations to the 4 winners, and a BIG THANKS to everyone who participated. These are all great Wallpapers, and we like to send them around the communities!
The winners will be notified by email (i have to get their post adresses) and we will send their prices soon to them.
