Even if your friends don’t get Brink, get Brink anyway. You will make lots more friends playing Brink. In fact, add me to your friends list when you get it and come play on our servers.
If the question is multi-player the answer is Brink.
As opposed to Brink weapon handling?
Like sockdog said,
crytek: singleplayer games with some multiplayer
splash damage: multiplayer games
yeah, but
splash damage: multiplayer games that have not been very successful and have not been regarded highly outside of a small group of fanboys (no offense splash damage)
crytek: single player games with some multiplayer content that has had an effect on the genre and is thought highly of by most videogame critics.
Crysis 2.
Awacome engine.
Great game idea.Be the weapon,invisible.
Crysis 2 is better than last Crysis episodes,Warhead and Crysis.
Never played BRINK,so I can´t say,which on is better…

All we know is what effect they have had on us.
Crysis: Zero effect (played the demo for 1/2 an hour).
W:ET got me into MP gaming, ETQW has kept me interested ever since it came out (I felt the same way waiting for ETQW I do waiting for Brink).
If you think Crysis 2 will be a better multi-player game that’s cool too.
Since I haven’t played any of games, I would guess the following based on the videos I have seen.
Crysis 2 MP: CoD gameplay with a super suit. Although it is reported to take up to 60 hours to unlock everything. Honestly, if you think CoD:MW is the best game ever, then this might be your game. Personally Crysis2 is on my DO NOT BUY LIST.
The game will offer a dozen multiplayer maps and six different modes: Instant Action (deathmatch); Team Instant Action (team deathmatch); Assault (where one team attacks an objective and the opposing team defends); Capture the Relay (a variant of Capture the Flag); Crash Site (a variant of Battlefield’s Conquest mode, which requires one team to steal and escort artifacts to a drop site and the opposing team to defend–similar to the old schoolyard game of steal the bacon); and Extraction (which requires one team to escort a VIP to a drop site and the opposing team to head them off at the pass).
Homefront: CoD gameplay mixed with battlefield. Probably Conquest game mode. Kaos seems to be supporting things PC gamers miss like dedicated servers and LAN play. They are using a "Battlepoints system which means "Kill stuff to earn money to buy new stuff when you want it (vehicles, weapons). This game is probably my second choice although I’m hoping the other game modes are a little more interesting.
…one game mode available for the multiplayer reveal[ed], Ground Control, does a good job of playing to Homefront’s strong points. Three territories are spread across the map to be captured, with the team score totting up once they’re in a player’s possession. Once a score limit has been reached the territories switch, making for an ever-changing battlefield throughout the course of a game.
Brink: ETQW gameplay but without the big maps and without vehicles (I think). Class based gameplay (medics/engineers/soldier) and a good balance will hopefully be required to win. The main thing that draws me to Brink is that you actually have to do stuff to progress on offense. You have to blow up a wall or activate a machine or something and only certain classes can do certain things. You don’t just capture a flag or something. What I love is the feeling of arming/disarming an explosive to for a last second win, knowing you can die at any second, and hoping your teammates are covering your back because you are defenseless. That rush is what drew me to RTCW and that is what I hope SD can continue to provide.
TBH, my biggest concern with BRINK is how smooth the animations are going to be. I’m not a huge “graphics guy,” but I’m hoping SD has made great improvements since ETQW.

W:ET is and was VERY successful beyond a small group of fanboys and is still widely played.
The Crysis games are, imo, nothing more than tech demos.

Splash Damage: multiplayer games (W:ET) that have been hugely successful as opposed to Crytek games which are MP fail

Crysis new MP powns.
Old MP-s were borings.
Only SP was great.
Crysis 2 hasn’t been released, you have no idea what the MP is like
[edit] yes I know it’s leaked
Hey i have a small question here. I can get only one of the games between BRINK and CRYSIS 2. I’m looking only at the multiplayer aspect of the games to be the decider .
I know both are different in their own ways but i want the better one fo the 2 in terms of multiplayer.
Any suggestions??And check out mutiplayer vids from Crysis 2.
PS: Since this is the BRINK forums i’m sure no one has not see the mutiplayer videos :D
For this comparison to make any sense, Crysis 2 would have be a game first. An interactive tech demo is not a game.
Did I say Homefront? I’m sorry, I meant Chuck E. Cheeses’s Sports Games. How many hours have you put in on Homefront MP? I don’t really care about the graphics. (I know, I’m weird that way.)

Not everyone shares your opinion on the Crysis 2 MP.
I spent about 6 hours playing the demo and found it akin to CoD MP. He who spots the other guy first wins. No skill at all. Cheap twitch high speed crack addled game play. No true strategy just repetition until you memorize the hit boxes and the dangerous portions of the map.
Yes the powers are interesting. It’s Call of Duty multiplayer with superpowers. And those powers glitch (particularly the airstomp). Maps have random drop offs that end up killing you. (Hallways that end at a random window that you can fall out of and die. The demo itself has no help for convoluted system that still needs ironing out for new players. Not even a variety of helpful tips during loading screens.
Crysis 2 got repetitive quickly. ALSO THERE’S A DEMO OUT FOR CRYSIS 2!
Brink has yet to release anything.
Honestly I’m biased towards Brink. But I must tell you it’s idiotic to compare two mediums when you have resources from one and none from the other.
It’s like doing a product comparison of a smith and wesson revolver that is in production versus a colt DESIGN that does not have any actual working “models”.
My advice to anyone who is having trouble deciding… is to enjoy your Crysis 2 MP Demo until you get a chance to TRY Brink. Because Brink will not be more of the same. At least that is the “INTENT” of design. And you don’t like Brink then have fun being invisible and getting cheap one shot kills. Personally I’m not going to touch that game with a ten foot pole.
Actually i’m playing multiplayer on Crysis 2 via tunngle (Leaked version)
And it’s pretty fun ! but game modes a still the same !
dm /tdm /ctf only the mode crash site is a bit funny

Waiting for BRINK !
