Let me say it differently. This update guys is not the patch that you are waiting for, so please remain calm. Reworking the network code doesn’t take 2 seconds to fix.

Thx Splash Damage for this update and future DLC (free), but I’m still hoping that a future patch would fix the lag issues, because it’s not normal. I have 30mb DL and 2mb Upload. On any game I get a ping between 5 and 50 on PC and it’S not normal to not experience any lag on PC and appear inthe green on console, but experience a lot of lag issues.

Thanks SD for adding some DLC already.

Glad to hear how much you all are trying to do to get the gamers with issues running smoothly.

Keep on that list all working dedicated server cvars list, or remove the configs from the .paks and add all cvars to each .cfg file for each game mode.

i really think it is great the first dlc is free i plan to download all them i really love the game. however i think u should add more skills lvl cap and guns to the game with the dlc event tho i know most games dont really do that with there dlc, well except for fall out that is the only game i really know that does that

This looks more like a band-aid…

At least it shows that SD IS working on the lag, they might just take some-time, until then, it just looks like they’re putting scotch tape over everything.

4v4 should give less lag

oh btw, free stuff.

It’s okay SD I still have faith. BLOPS had some major issues at launch, you’re not the only one’s, don’t let the brats keep you down.

I think BRINK LAG is making a point here game is still very laggy, I don’t want them to take away the intended experience i want them to fix this game all the free maps in the world won’t matter if the experience is not smooth.

Yeah, I can’t say if the game is laggy or not, since I don’t have it.

But what I get from the blog is that this is a detour for the lag, which WILL be fixed, sooner if not later.

Just think of it as an option that’ll ease the lag for now. When the netcode itself is fixed just think of it as “I don’t have to put up with 7 other idiots, just 3.”

PC seems to have got a patch that adressed the lag at its source.

SD are console versions, give em some time, they’re out of their element.

See, band aid. In the update notes, technical issues have been looked at.

I hope you guys work on the lobby issues. I hear theres a warm up session that can transfer you to a public match with your buddies but i have yet to see how to do that.

when i alt tab out of game the game crashes after a couple mins…not sure if its the game crashing the local server or the server crashing the game. win 7 64bit.

By halving the human players in campaign to help lag issues. Is that a temporary fix until you can fix the root problem or is this splash damage’s permanent solution? I hope it’s a temporary fix because I think that the campaign should be playable as you envisioned it to be on every medium you created the game for or you shouldn’t have released the game. I didn’t want to wait anymore though so I’m willing to be patient.

As far as the AI go. AI are capable of ungodly things. Like one shotting you with SMGs and curbstomping incapped enemies while shooting at the same time. If I can’t take out two people at the same time while curbstomping an incapped guy then no bot should be capable of that. And add to that how I’ve seen them walk through double streams of minigun fire to curbstomp incaps. They seem to go into god mode when they see someone incapped and you level past 10. I’ve started new characters just to enjoy playing against the bots.

I’m telling you these bots are the birth childs of superman it’s just to easy for them and they’re to lethal to the point it’s not fun. I also hope this is just a temporary thing until they can figure out how to make lag less of an issue, it seems some people are being deluded by the free maps the game is still jack up, so i’ll be waiting for a legit update on what the real solutions are.

a different crash now. after playing about 45 minutes online the game crashed and windows says not responding /end task and this appears

windows 7 64bit, nvidia 480GTX, latest driver (270.61).

also in-game i get some weird stuff on the top of the screen… i seen this in the server browser a well, it comes and goes. pic: http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/4101/2011051300003.jpg

Good news, although I am slightly perturbed at how some major bugs weren’t mentioned.

Invisible bots (I’m not using ATI).
Audio cutting out on certain maps.
Crouch movement speed getting stuck.

Although, bravo for quick updates. I’m sure the more major bugs are tougher to stamp out.

Thank you so much for putting out such a great game. Personally I believe any company that released a review without playing online for a few days, should be shot! I can’t wait for the DLC and to see what else you have in store for us! Thank you again for making a shooter worth playing online. Its been forever since I have had this much fun. Yo badman, whats needed is we game modes similiar to your typical capture flag etc but with a brink twist. Because i can see multiplayer well “online co-op with randoms” growing thin… and fast.

This game would be amazing in the competitive scene, but there is no way to compete. How is a clan even supposed to play together if there is no lobby? I want all of my friends to play this, be able to strategize about what class everyone takes, have designated classes and all that, but there is no point, because there isn’t a way to play with them without a lot of luck. The whole reason people don’t play objective modes is because unless you have a group of friends, you’re gonna get railroaded. And you made a whole game about objectives, and took out the one feature objective maps hinge on. If you guys patched a lobby in and put out a demo, this game would blow up. Everyone is tired of Call of Duty, but no game steps up. Make it Brink, please?
