Brink TV Day 1 and Day 2 Launch Events

Brink TV is going online on May 10 and we have two events lined up the instant the site is launched and the game is in our hands.

What is Brink TV?
Brink TV is a shoutcasting organization of avid Brink fans and has been founded with the promise to provide content that appeals to both casual and hardcore FPS gamers.

The Day One Launch Event will kick off at 8pm EDT on May 10 with a podcast introduction of the Brink TV staff to the Brink community. This will be followed by a roundtable discussion between the Brink TV staff and special guests from the competitive scenes of previous Splash Damage titles. Topics will be centered on competitive features in Brink–discussing what we know is in, what we think will survive a “Pro Mod” cut, and a wishlist of competitive needs that will be forwarded to Splash Damage after the event. To cap off the event, Brink TV will be giving away multiple PC copies of the game while servers are being populated for the night’s finale: Brink TV will host and shoutcast a series of team-based King of the Hill matches open to anyone in the community.

Day 1 Event Details

On May 11 at 9pm EDT, Brink TV goes live again and will be bringing together noteworthy members of the Brink community for a panel discussion composed of league administrators, fellow broadcasters and representatives from the top two North American ETQW teams. Panelists will share their first impressions of Brink and provide insight into the competitive nature of the game. All are welcome to ask our panelists questions through our chat room and responses will be given live, on-air.

very nice to see support for comp play coming out along the release.

And the game is naturally more balanced towards competitive formats as well.

This almost makes me think that i could actually scrap enough time to play it : P

Two thumbs up from me. Is there some kind of a direct countdown to the events? I am never good with time zones. If not, I guess I can figure it out myself. :smiley:

We will have a showmatch as the finale of Day 1, open to all. For those wanting a team vs team showmatch… we are hosting a full tournament on the 18th with hardware prizes at stake. Teams can wait for that… after all, on the first day, there probably won’t be much of a “show” match as the game will have been out for only 8 hours.

That’s also why we’re doing multiple events… check the details.

Hey, a quick question here. On the homepage it says that it starts in 3 hours. How much after that does the event start? Does it also start in 3 hours are a little bit after that (how many hours)?

I think the applet I got MAY use your actual time set on your computer, which is wrong. It launches on May 10th at midnight.
