As you all well know I’ve got my problems with Brink. The big problems I have with the game (other than getting it to run) are that the weapons don’t provide interesting choices for the player and all of the abilities are clunky. The buff abilities slingshot you around the map like you’re connected to the person with a tendril of taffy. If you plan on being an operative get used to playing with jacks and talking to corpses because thats what will comprise your highlight reel. There are really only two weapons worth using: the Gerund and the Carb-9, and there are only two attachments worth using: the high-capacity magazine and the adjusted iron sights. Because of this the only body type worth using is medium and the only distinction between players is shooting prowess. If it weren’t for the non-distinct weapons, attachments, classes, and abilities, the mediocre maps, the mediocre interface, the poor connectivity, the ham handed storyline, and the incompatability with SLI, ATI cards, directx10, and players… this game would be awesome.
Hey Splash Damage, let us know when you stop selling bootleg copies of B action flicks and start making videogames again. But it could have been worse, I could have bought Darkspore instead.
