Brink Stats Site Password Reset - legitimate?

Forgive me for being paranoid, but given the fact they were recently hacked I’m a little reluctant to follow the link, especially considering a hack isn’t even mentioned and it’s being passed off as simply “maintenance”…

Can anybody vouch for the authenticity of these emails?

Already changed it to something long & random with LastPass just yesterday, so I really don’t to reset my passwords, but it doesn’t detail what will happen if I don’t. Still logged in on the site too, it doesn’t seem like it’s being forced.

This is real. The site wasn’t compromised as you point out, but some things were changed on the backend that required this reset.

Thanks a lot for clarifying. Saw the tweet about it too.

Just a friendly tip from an IT guy… never ever follow links in emails. Always visit the site manually by typing it in or use a bookmark that you created.

Use Firefox and install NoScript and Ad Block Plus.

Safest way to travel on the Internets.
