Brink Skills....a list?

(Zekariah) #1

Hey, after reading Maawdawg’s AWESOME review on his Brink gameplay experience ( http://www.thebrinkforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=302 ) i noted he mentioned a massive 58 skills to choose from in the customization section.

Does anyone have more info or a link to more info on these skills? He mentioned “Combat Awareness”, so that’s one. Anyone know what the other 57 are?

It seems you mean “Combat Intuition”.

These abilities are already known -> http://brink.wikia.com/wiki/Abilities

But a complete official list with all class and universal skills would be amazing!

The editors are pretty bad on the wiki, they have guns and skills described in their own page, but the universal list for weapons/skills does not include 'em.

I have a thread on here somewhere that started this but people though it was pointless.

I’d say: feel free to contribute. That’s kinda the point of a wiki, isn’t it?

Edit: now I’m wondering why I can’t find anything on Brink on the Splash Damage Wiki. Is that something for after release?

I looked through the skills really quickly but I wasn’t trying to remember names at that point. I was just itching to get into the game, and trying wrap my head around the PS3 controller which I am really not used to. Even though I game on 360 a lot and used to have a PS1 and a PS2 I was having problems remembering where square, x, and circle were to even control the menus and bring up info since I was rushing so much to try to take everything in.

There were definitely a lot of skills broken into the 5 sections (1 for each class plus 1 for general skills) that were selected through the shoulder buttons. I had read 58 total skills in some previews and that sounds about right from what I saw. I know there was one mentioned on the floor for “reload while sprinting” but I didn’t find it in the minute or so I paged through them. A bunch were grayed out besides, since the characters were at lvl 7 in the demo. I wish I could be more help but it was just a lot to take in and remember on a busy show floor when you are crunched for time, while I was talking to my cousin next to me at his station, and Badman at the same time. For me, actually experiencing and getting a feel for the gameplay was the biggest part so I rushed right to that. The full extent of the customization and skills are something I decided to worry about more when I have the retail game in hand as soon as I saw there was no real way to take it all in with the limited time we had on the stations.

That’s cool…

20 min is way to short to explore customization, anyhow.

But i was wondering if someone out there had gained a good look into these “abilities”. The Brink Wiki is a little light on that info.
