Brink singleplayer config files

Where would I find these files? Been trying to find them from Steam files and in the install folder but no luck. I would like to see the camera options and if its possible to tweak them

Easiest way to find it is to do a windows search for: brinkconfig.cfg

It is somewhere in the steam, userdata folder.

the only config is the video settings in brinkconfig.cfg, there’s no controls config per se anymore. You can do a writeconfig to dump your controls etc and create an autoexec, but that’s about it.

your config is at steam/userdata/“some long number”/22350/local/base

you can also put your autoexec.cfg there.

hmmmm. great question, graavigala. 3rd person. interesting. i’d like to know as well.

Need to clarify one thing.

I would not want the 3rd person view tobe that far as in the youtube flick I posted but more like you get when playing Gears of Wars.

I tweaked my camera options in Borderlands and it worked nicely, when ever you idle and just run around you are in GoW cameramode and when you start to aim, the camera snaps to FPS and once you release the aim you are back to 3rd person view. Ofcourse you could shoot with 3rd person view like you normally can without aiming

  1. Bring down the console and enter “devmap mp/” (no quotemarks) and hit TAB to tab through the various MP game maps. Choose one and load it up.

  2. Still in the console, enter: “pm_thirdperson 1” (no quote marks)

Have fun! It’s a great way to play Brink.
