Brink resets my console + can't install Brink on my HD

Today I’ve received a brand new copy of Brink, and when I arrived home to play with my housemate, I found an ugly surprise. :frowning:

I entered “The psycho” DLC code, and put the DVD into the reader. The game didn’t start, and my xbox did a reset. I try again, another reset. After this, i tried to install it on the HD, and another reset happened.

My xbox began to reset every time i tried to install the game on my 250Gb HD. Moreover, and it was very concerning, it was impossible to play to anything. I tried to remove my MU, no exit. I removed my HD, and then, the console stopped to reset, and the game could be installed and even played.

I’ve found this issue is very serious and worrying. Keep in mind that this make the console useless. The main factors that can cause this are:

  • 250 Gb HD.
  • The psycho DLC.

At this moment, I can play Brink if I remove my HD from my Xbox. Is there a way to solve this situation and install Brink on my HD? Apart from solving the reset problem…

By another user suggestion, I’ve tried to erase the cache on the HDD, but it didn’t solve the issue. I can just play Brink with no HDD and from a Memory Unit.

But, the most serious thing is that my console keeps resetting all the time just because there are Brink files in the MU. I can’t install anything on my HDD because of this issue. Everytime i try to install anything, the console resets.

I’m really dissapointed with Brink, apart from this very serious issue (i can’t barely play with my HDD), the game is far too buggy.

you’re the only one I’ve heard of with that problem, seems odd

make sure your HDD is seating correctly

This is the first time I’ve heard of this.

Which Brink files exactly are on the memory unit?
