Your preaching is counterproductive anyway.
BRINK PC/console port
Kinjal, I think the fact that the developers have stated over and over that all three versions of the game have been built separately should be enough to pacify people. I too have my doubts but the only way to verify things is seeing them for ourselves when the game launches.
No, not enough, i dont have to go far
if it was enough, there would be no such thread like this one

It cannot be enough because some people will claim ridiculous things as evidence that it is a console port. Some people believe guilty until proven innocent and use strange standards of proof.
ridiculous things? So if I asking for a PC preview based on PC version, it’s a ridiculous thing? Cool.
Some people? U mean all PC users, who are not fans of SD? That’s not a some ppl its almost all ppl, who are not sitting on this forum.
I would agree with u if it were not such games like COD, Bulletstorm, Wolfenstein 2009, and etc. These games showed what treatment PC players can expect in our days.
Ahw, snap. So it is a console port after all.
Where’s that emoticon with the sarcasm sign?
It’s pretty unlikely since they don’t both have cutomization, have smart, being released on console&PC, using ****ty RPG/wow level, and they aren’t both FPS too … ho wait, it’s exactly the same on all those points
Wow… just like W:ET was exactly like TF:S. They both had guns, both had crosshairs, both have classes, both have bullets, both have … you get the idea.

omg, this info just killed the game for me
the day a geometric form of a HUD element decides if a game is a console port or not (in other words “good or bad”) is the day I stop gaming.
It was said in a few interviews that development began 2 weeks after ETQW’s release.
As long as it’s fun and runs well on the PC, does it really matter if it’s a console port or not? Arkham Asylum and Resident Evil 5 were pretty ace considering they were console ports. Maybe I’m just getting soft in old age I dunno but things like this that used to bother me at some level simply don’t any more.
I guess it matters if it’s a bad console port.
I think players just don’t want the PC version to feel secondhand, but many players take this to the extreme, so if there is any indication that the game is also made on console, they go ape****.
As long as it it incorporates the PC-specific features players have come to expect, like console commands, cvars, binds/macros, demo-recording, solid controls, etc. then even if it had things like a bigger “consolized” HUD, would it really be that big of a deal?
I think, I could take it easier if they had not talked the same **** about equality of platforms all the time, and then give PC gamer magazine a console version to write a preview. Eh, i will just wait for release.
Those aren’t FPS games though. Console FPS simply have a very different feel to them then PC FPS games (the old school ones). They feel slower and more sluggish, most likely because of the controller and hardware limitations.

What you have listed is the best what we can hope, we not gona get a solid PC game like ETQW, I knew it from the start. But I’m afraid a far more worst-case scenario. Sum thing like a Wolfenstein 2009, and no SDK for months (cos they gona patch a console version, no time for SDK)
