If your English is not that good, maybe try it in your own language
I am pretty sure someone can translate it correctly for you
We still don’t understand your question…
(It may be your favorite translator but it translates sooooo wrong
)
I’m gonna try and take a shot:
Hi,
I’m a PS3 user. (Yeah, sorry, I really can’t make this one out
)
What Graphics Engine does this game use on the PS3?
It’d be a challenge to beat the graphics of Killzone 2.
cracks fingers
So, ajas, to answer your (supposedly?) question:
BRINK runs on a heavily modified version of id Tech 4. Also known as the Doom 3 engine. But as you can judge from the screenshots and videos, immensely improved!
Killzone 2 a graphical challenge? Perhaps. Personally I really like how BRINK has its own graphical style and art right now. But you have to remember that Killzone 2 was developed by a much larger team. Plus, they pretty much benefited for the fact the game was a PS3 exclusive.
Cheers… I guess.
It’s usually a clever move to go for stylised graphics as they don’t get as outdated as fast as gritty realism. Compare HL2 (extra episodes) and TF2, same engine but TF2 will stay fresh far longer.

This engine never it was used on PS3 and is very old but on screnshot this look great.
I curious how hard is this work on PS3 because PS3 is not simply PC and XBoX 360 with DirectX?
the idtech4 they are using is HEAVILY modified. They even made their own virtual texturing, which is a feature in idtech5. And I think it works more with OpenGL than Direct X.

The engine was once on the PS3. And that would be the ported version of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. But as you indeed have noticed, the fine folks at Splash Damage sure managed to keep old technology new for BRINK.
Working on a PS3 game is considered to be very frustrating for many, many developers. It is indeed not ‘simply a PC or a Xbox 360’. From what I gather, it’s the PS3’s cell processor which makes the life of many programmer’s suicidal. (And the PS3’s memory)
And while I’m sure this was mentioned/answered in the Q&A topic before, the PC and PS3 version of the game run on OpenGL 2.0. Whereas the Xbox 360 version runs on Direct3D.
