Brink multiplayer ideas

The game shouldn’t only be objective based and just team based in multiplayer and singleplayer. There should be stuff that would promote the SMART system. See the developers of Brink wanted a fast played game so they added in stuff like the SMART system. But because of the objectives and team play it makes for a slow played game where one side is defending something and the other is attacking and you have to watch over your teamates. They could put in maps where there could be boxes, crates, barrels, etc on the battlefield so its not as open because a big robot crane wont be driving through there because it wont be objective in playlists such as TDM called team battle, free for all called battle royal, and even a tourny with 1 vs. 1 matchups called Elimination. I just think that the developers should add in game types like those and have maps more like the PARKOUR THIS challenges. Where everything promotes the parkour in the game.

EXPLAINING THE GAMETYPES I HAVE UP THERE

Team deathmatch called
Team battle

Its just 2 equal sized teams of at least 8
that go out to get the most kills the first
to reach a certain limit of kills first wins.

Free-For-all called Battle Royal

A game of 16 or more people who are all
against each other (everyone for themselves, no teams)
to reach a ceratin amount of kills the first to reach
that amount of kills wins.

A Tounament style game called Elimination

The touny would be a game with at least 16 people but with 1 vs. 1 match ups ( with no classes but with extra health ) and the others not in that round would spectate ( a way for other players see other player’s skill in the game ) They would play on small maps ( you could make at least 5 different small maps to keep it fresh ) packed with a lot of parkour routes like in the PARKOUR THIS challenges to make it interesting and show that you need skill in using the SMART system and so no one can just shoot someone and it is over with but so they have an escape route and it prolongs the match. The 2 in that same match up would play 3 times, but in the finals ( the last match that came up to the final
2 )where there is 5 rounds , the first to win 2/3 wins that round and moves on to the next faction against the other winners and losers are out ( but losers should still be able to spectate )and so on it plays just like a tournament. The champ could also be rewarded with a lot of XP and/or a special unlock, the glory of winning or just for the fun.

Even a game style called Chase

Chase would be a 1 vs 1 or even a team thing. It would be
a cat and mouse chase where one runs and the other chases u. Kill or be killed.
Its just a gametype I thought of when I saw the trailer like when the green security

The mouse would have extra health like a juggernaut. And u cant forget about the parkour its an easy way to maneuver over obstacles and dodge some bullets and also i had another idea where, like in the trailer, you could jump and slide on your back and shoot behind u so u could keep moving forward and still shoot behind you. Look at 1:29 on the trailer.

Even PSR ( parkour skill run )

Could be 1 vs 1 where players are timed to do a parkour run and the one who does it with the most style, flare and best time wins. It could be scored by average. For example Guy 1 gets Style 5, Flare ,6 Time 8 his average is 6.33 and Guy 2 gets Style 4, Flare 5, and time 7 his average is 5.33. Guy 1 had the higher average and would win.

THe Cat and mouse one is good thouhg, like assasins creed multiplayer. of course the mouse can only be killed with melee or people would just be headshoting with barnett,

Lobbies and matchmaking would be great so i can play some humans and not bots.

Sometimes pubs are basicly TDM anyway, and more gamemodes the better, I do like playng the objectives, but when im bored or my team is meh, I just try to dm with pistols and stuff lol, so ye i agree.

Chase would be really fun. I can sorta see TDM with hints of objectives. LIke repair the crane to get access to a tower or escape route, blow up bridge to make cover and destroy route etc. Or they could have beneficial things like command posts. Fun thing would be that they can give you stuff

I 100% agree with the ideas. It would excite a lot of players to add team deathmatch.

TDM in this game is just a no for me, but online modes that encourage parkour movements sounds like a great idea, granted that there would still be something for the other body types (Heavy and medium) to do. Maybe like you have to build or destroy things to make a path, and then the last objective would be hacking or delivering something only reachable by the path your team creates.

Although new game modes are not in the spirit of Brink, playing tdm in the pre game “lobby” when waiting for it to start is great fun. The Parkour runs sound like a great idea for dlc but Mirrors Edge already did that.

It would be a good way of extending the life of the game and bring in new players.
