Brink has been crashing while being alt+tabbed for an extended period of time, the crash report ends a bit too early for me to read them, but I believe it’s crashing due to malloc being unable to allocate any more memory. It seems when Brink is alt+tabbed in the starting menu, it will continually allocate more and more memory until it hits ~3GB, which I assume is the 32-bit application limit it’s reached. It’s roughly 4-6MB per second growth in usage.
Now the funny part is, that when you alt+tab back in, it release all this memory, and the game will freeze depending on how long you have left it tabbed out for.
I tested it in a campaign match and the memory usage is pretty stable, so it seems to only happen when you are at the game’s main menu.
This also happens to a few other people I asked as well.
