i somehow doubt that
the problem is people are trying to not count the two “what if” scenario maps, so they say 8 instead of 10

Ah well. Well, at least someone knows.
I thought it was a good idea. Any word on why it was scrapped?
Actually, it’s 8 maps, INCLUDING the “what if” :
“Brink will have sixteen missions, spread across the two campaigns, but out of those sixteen, four are what we like to call the “what if?” missions. They’re not actually part of the official storyline.”
Hey guys, im new here obviously but have a few questions about the game. Ive been doing a little research and havn’t neccesarily found an exact answer…
So my question is aproximately how long will it take to reach level 20? And how long will it take to beat the campaign? The reason why im asking is because i find myself to grow very bored of games i can pick up and play it through in a few hours and then have nothing really to do. But just 2 things i was thinking about
I have a bonus question that probably nobody knows …
Will there be DLC that will increase the level cap and/or prolong the campaign?
Thanks!
Don’t buy Brink. Actually, why are you even playing video games? If you want a sense of accomplishment go rock climbing.
Between L4D1 and 2 I have like 1000 hours of play time and don’t even have all of the achievements. I play games because I think they’re fun and challenging. You can find better things to do with your money if all games are so boring. You’re here asking for specific benchmarks to leveling and completing a game that isn’t even out yet. Go do something more enriching if that’s all you can think about.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least. I have no problem with it either if that’s really the case (I’m assuming the pulled maps would be released for free to the original accounts or however they do it to discourage people from buying used copies). Wouldn’t be happy at all if they tried to sell them later.
Like Sockdog, I think there will be a lot of critism over how short the “single player” mode is. I really expected to see a lot more maps because they were playing up the single player aspect.
I’d be really surprised if the maps average anything close to 30 minutes each unless it takes you 3 tries on average to complete each one.
My understanding is you are timed out at each objective if you don’t make it (clock per objective instead of a clock for the whole map). Maybe this has changed, but if not it will make the average times for the losing maps shorter.
If there was an over under for 10 hours I’d put a thousand on under.
I have a question about the Campaign also. If you play the campaign in full multiplayer mode for example as the resistance, what happens if the security win every game? Will the story progress in a completely different way? Or will you have to replay the mission again against different players?
If its the former then that would have REALLY good replayability! because each mission would have a winning and losing story sequence would it not?
The story will advance for the Security players, and the Resistance players will have to replay that mission. You will play against different players though.
