What are people supposed to post about? If you don’t want to read the same stuff you don’t have to that’s your choice. As long as their posts promote discussion and provide decent arguments then they’re totally valid. I’d say there’s a pretty good balance of neg/pos compared to the past. There’s certainly a lot less “This game is a giant mother ****ing turd of game and no matter how much it’s polished will remain a great big pile of ****.” threads.
Considering the purpose of a forum is discussion it’s kind of an ineffectual idea to have a thread for all complaints. It’s pretty hard to discuss “all complaints” in a single thread.
*Again we are in total agreement on this thread in particular.
This forum has gotten a lot better. It was an ugly hate-filled spam rage PC nerd-fest and calling everyone who liked the game delusional nightmare. The new guys like RahbidAnubus missed out on all the nasty juicy stuff. Its a lot better now. Right now the console bashing and raging mostly happens in the Skilled Thread. The one that unabashedly creates a puke-filled mess of unfair comparison and deconstructionist reasoning. If you get the urge to puke in your own mouth, just read the “Skill” in Brink thread.
It’s ignorant, blind hypocritical posts like that that cause the issues in the 1st place. Anyone that decides to post something that isn’t kissing the devs ass instantly prompts a cheer leader to join and post something exactly like i’ve just quote above.
And yeah there’s been a fair amount of console players showing their dislike of the game. Stop being an ass wolf, we know you are, just dont need to prove it time and time again.
Just to add that yes, things were getting better, when all wolf was doing was quoting someone and saying “I agree” instead of actually trying to formulate an adult reply. As soon as he does that… well lets just say i’m getting the facepalm.jpg’s ready.
Was that the thread that was perfectly fine till you posted in it or was that another thread? Yes, I think it was the ‘Skill’ thread as it was purposefully discussing the PC version but for some reason lots of console gamers start posting in it with lots a flame and such and things got way out of hand as a result.
I miss the days of the Justice League
I remember when we had all those great discussions about weapon binds, selfkill, nade buttons and such, things may have got bit heated but it was all good, no one got upset or anything. Imagine have those same discussions now, they wouldn’t last 2 minutes without someone crying about those nasty PC players.
Us PC players are nasty though. I hear we have horns and tails and pitchforks and like to play our games while seeding evil across the land and having premarital sex and disrespecting our parents.
From what I’ve heard the PC itself was invented in hell and each one is forged in hellfire at the anvil of hatred so that playing on it actually causes universal suffering while simultaneously torturing the souls that we have taken. And we created Doom which has resulted in so many school massacres that it has personally caused a bodycount greater than the current world population.
Srsly. Unless there’s a reference to “this happens on Platform X” or “We’re discussing the Feature Y that is only on Platform X (like aim assist or platform specific controls)” there is no point in distinguishing platforms.
There is also very little point in calling out players from a single group and / or generalising about players simply because they are in that group.
Barring a history of SD games and a different control scheme the 3 platform player groups are fairly equal. They all have their good guys, bad guys, ambivilent guys, slightly brain damaged guys, slacker guys and all the guys inbetween [in this context “guy” can be read as neutral gender person].
Why then does this keep getting brought up to fight over?
This isn’t amied at .Chris… I just comment him to intro my post, but you can easily see in many threads (including this one) where this false platform elitism / segregation is inserted.
I know. Which is why I got frustrated at this post.

See. Maybe we should all have a vote help by SD about what feature we want to be eliminated/added/adjusted first. They are working on the weapon balance.
And that thread was supposed to be a joke. XD
Yes, but there is a point where there is TOO much critism.
Yes, Brink isn’t competitive enough.
Yes, Brink has issues.
Yes, that is good criticism.
Yes, Brink needs more game modes.
Doesn’t mean you need to post about it every time. At least the skill thread was constructive somewhat even if a little bashing…
And I left the forums it was so bad. I actually joined at the peak of the rage. It’s why I ‘appeared’ around the time of the DLC. I had actually gotten the game despite the bad reviews.
