Brink Hands on impressions(played for an hour)Interview with Ed Stern(SP lead writer)

I don’t even think “being stealthy” is really going to be that useful. The way Brink seems to play, players who would try to be stealthy are ultimately dead players. Stealing a disguise and working behind enemy lines - I can see this working, but that isn’t “stealth,” it’s “deception.”

Players who actually try to sneak around and utilize stealth, I just see as prolonging their imminent death.

A SD Podcast would indeed be brilliant, especially with Ed hosting, the guy is a naturally funny, jovial, well spoken guy.
As Medic i am pretty sure you could see team mates health. I didn’t play the soldier class so not sure about ammo.

toggle on/off then. Of course, that’s a button too…

As for myself, not really worried about it, but I tend to play medic and engie first and covert last.

Related to every class. I just gave operative as an example.
Oh and its not something to worry about - its a preference in the way the mission system works.

I’m assuming you’re meaning on PC? I don’t see how it would work on the console as they wouldn’t be able to bind ‘vsays’ for when they do want to request ammo and health.

Yes. All my comments are pretty much based on the PC. My understanding was that SD would force autovsays, so that players could not spam them in the annoying ways you see in ETQW.

While also mitigating the need to communicate, and allowing the action to unfold seamlessly. Which to me is a bit like saying “I picked up a chick… at a brothel”. But that probably warrants its own thread. :stroggtapir:

Badman should get onto this with vigor! I follow a few of the SD guys on twitter and they’ve got some interesting perspectives and of course ample experience which would make a great podcast.

BTW - Enjoying your podcasts too! :penguin:
