Brink freezes every 1-2 seconds

Hello all,

My brink(steam-version) freezes every 1-2 seconds. Freezing is observed everywhere, in main menu, in gameplay(any mode). I tryed play with any(default/minimum/maximum) video/audio settings, but problem still alive. This is a not video freezes, i feel it and i have HD4850 1GB DDR3 with last drivers.

The Result: Game purchased(29.07.2011) - Game unplayable.

Try switching to a Basic or High Contrast theme in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization (i.e. disabling Windows Aero).

I set classic windows interface, but problem is not solved. Crysis 2, BullerStorm and other last games normal works, without freezes.

May be it is a conflict with my motherboard(Asus)? I was the third who have such a problem with Brink on the Asus-board.

this happens to me when FPS doubles every 2 seconds and makes the gameplay choppy and gameplay stops for a second and then carrys on, Enable Vsync and Triple Buffer in the GPU Control Panel may Help

Can you add +set logFile 2 +set logFileName “logfile2_r1ar.log” to your launch options and post the log here. You can find it in …\Steam\userdata#user#22350\local\base.

After this, be sure to set logFile back to “0”, then remove the command from your launch options.

I bought the electronic version, game downloaded/installed of the 29.07.2011.

In this moment i download DLC from us server on steam, if after install freezes don’t disappear i will try reinstall the game.
