Brink Fine in Aus

Just bought brink today in australia.
Firstly great game!
Reviews have been very harsh on it.
It does have limited areas, but mainly awesome.
And also there is no lag in AUS hahaha sucks to be american.

PS: I also made this post to encourage more australians to go out there and buy this game, we need more players!

The lag has nothing wrong with netcode really. The real problem is with ati cards and overall performance issues.

Cmon dude, there’s enough hostility on here without antagonizing things even more. It’s great it works, but remove the last remark

Nah he should keep it, it makes him sound like hes 12.

It’s a sad day when a simple, innocent, and positive call to arms is considered antagonistic. I for one appreciate the OP letting me know of yet another user who’s had a problem free experience. It makes my pre-order for Friday’s EU release seem more and more worth it.

I got Brink today and mainly play on Australian servers. Absolutely no lag and a really great multi-player experience. Only problem i have had in one game was an audio bug. I’m sure SD will work their magic and make it disappear.

I just got this 2 hours ago and I am in love with this game. I am a very strong objective type player and this game just suits me perfectly. The only problem I had was that I could not find anyone online dont know if its just me not working it out, or there was no one there. Either way playing against bots was a blast it reminds me of the pafect dark era on the 64.

Speak for yourself, this games issues is completely killing all the momentum I had leading up to this games release. It could be fun, if the game was tested on various hardware set ups, at all.

For starters sound doesn’t work on 2 of the maps, all game sounds besides ambient noise gets cut out on Refuel, although it’s happened on another map also. How such a huge issue made it though years of development is beyond me. It’s a joke. Everyone I’ve seen comment on this problem has had Windows 7 x64.

Frame rate is disgusting, I’m not even on any ATi hardware, but from what I’ve heard I cringe at the thought of what they’re going through. FPS staggers between 20 and 50 even with all the fancy details turned off. Changing the settings to max or minimum has little impact on my frame rate.

Im from Australia and still havent bought this game. My main worry is that i will get it and not find anyone to play with when i primarily want to play it online. Having moved from the UK where i was spoilt with choice in terms of servers we really suffer here down under. Besides the other problems the game has at the moment can anyone who has the game and is in australia give me an idea of how many servers there are and how populated they are? I dont want another Homefront or FFOW

There’s nothing that wrong with it out here in America, it’s just Americans like games where WE’RE depicted as complete bad asses, doing impossible things… Not really, but that’s what I’m getting from the community of Americans that don’t like BRINK, aside from the idiot that told me BRINK sucked because, “The guns are too quiet, and I can’t do flips”.
